‘Wednesday’ Season 2 Starts Filming And Drops These Two Major Characters

Finally, after what is starting to feel like forever, ‘Wednesday’ season 2 has officially started filming. But two of our beloved characters won’t be back, and no I don’t mean those who we watched die in the first season. Here’s all we know.

The Addams Family – Will Enroll In Nevermore Academy Ahead of Season 2

‘Wednesday’ season 2 may be a long time coming, but it’s coming big and bigger than anyone could ever expect.

Apart from Thandiwe Newton and Steve Buscemi becoming series regulars (Thandiwe will play Dr. Fairburn and Buscemi will play Barry Dort), the series has managed to add a host of interesting guest stars, and some of them, one way or another, have connections to different variations of ‘Addams Family’ over the years.

One of the new additions with a previous connection to the world of ‘Wednesday’ is Christopher Lloyd, who played Uncle Fester in two of the “Addams Family” films in the 1990s. This isn’t the first time that the show has paid tribute to the ‘Addams’ that have come before.

In season 1, Christina Ricci, who played Wednesday in ‘Addams Family,’ portrayed the character Marilyn Thornhill.

“We are thrilled that the entire Addams family will be enrolling in Nevermore Academy this season along with a dream cast of icons and new faces,” series creators and showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar revealed in a statement.

Though we’ll be getting a suite of new interesting characters, we’ll probably be losing Percy Hynes White, who played the beloved character Xavier Thorpe, in the first season.

White rejected a series of sexual allegations against him in 2023 as a “campaign of misinformation.” Another notable star absent was Naomi J. Ogawa, who played Yoko Tanaka.

“Our goal this season was to discover some fresh faces as well as invite some acting legends we’ve always admired to join Jenna and the gang at Nevermore,” Millar and Gough exclusively told Tudum. “When we survey the talent we’ve assembled we could not be more thrilled. Mission accomplished.”
