While When Calls the Heart fans stressed that Paul Greene might not reprise his role as Dr. Carson Shepherd in Season 9, he revealed the news that he expects a baby. He already has a son, 17-year-old Oliver. He arrived when Paul and Angi Greene Fletcher were together. The new baby will be the first child of his fiance, Kate Austin. Naturally, many Hallmark fans turned up on his Instagram when they heard the news.
When Calls The Heart Fans Thrilled About A Baby For Paul Greene
The news about the baby seems to have come right at the moment when fans stressed that Paul might not come back for Season 9 of the show. If you don’t know, he played the role of Doctor Carson since Season 4. When he rolled into town, nobody realized he was a doctor. He worked on the railway and then in Abigail’s cafe. Getting close to Faith Carter, the nurse, news emerged that he was actually a doctor. In fact, he gave up medicine after the death of his wife.
Since then, Paul Green became very much a part of the story in When Calls the Heart. However, in Season 8, fans know he was offered a job elsewhere in the medical profession. At the time, he turned it down so he could remain with Faith. However, they broke up, and it looked like he went away for a long time taking up the fellowship offer. Actually, it left an open-ended possibility that he might leave, or leave for a short period of time. Notably, he still has not shared any WCTH photos for the new season. However, the baby news took the minds of Hearties off the next season.
When Calls The Heart Star Shared Baby News On Instagram
People magazine ran the baby news before Paul shared about it on his Instagram. On the weekend, he shared a video and said, “We have some exciting News. Little Guy arriving On thanksgiving day. Kates feeling amazing and looking like seriously the hottest ever.” Erin Krakow, (Elizabeth Thornton), reacted with, “Congrats! So happy for you guys!“
Other When Calls the Heart fans and associates also commented. One of them said, “YESSSS BABY!!! So happy for you both and for the world ❤️❤️❤️❤️.” Then another comment read: “OMG!!! So happy for you! Congrats👏👏❤️.” Similar comments followed like this one: “Congratulations on your new little bundle of joy!!!❤️.” Actully, hardly anyone even mentioned Season 9 of the Hallmark show. Everyone just seems over the moon for them.

When Does The Show Premiere Season 9
While filming starts this month, it’s not expected that the new season comes before 2022. While fans know that 12 episodes come along, the premiere date has not yet been released. For Paul Greene fans, even if he joins the film crew later, he might still make it into the season at some stage.

I am upset that Paul Greene might not return. What about Faith and her love for the doctor? Also, I was hoping he would return to Hope Valley with an operation that would return the sight of the blind girl played by Viv Leacock's daughter. Will he return to Hope Valley to at least operate on the girl? The woman who plays her mother in the show told Dr. Carter before he left for his internship that he was the first doctor she trusted with his daughter's care. WCTH watchers will remember that. On soap operas, if an actor or actress leaves a show, they get someone else to play the roll. Maybe they should get someone else to play the roll, OR have his character send an eye surgeon to Hope Valley. Just saying' that this character is vital to the show.
