1000-lb Sisters Spoilers – Complications With Another Baby On The Way

1000-lb Sisters star Amy Slaton has been focused on growing her family and there really was no surprise to her fans when she announced that she was pregnant again with her second child. Sadly, this pregnancy is not without complications and Amy is terrified when she is rushed to the hospital. Amy told PEOPLE, “the doctor has concerns about the baby because I am still morbidly obese, and I am in a lot of pain.”

Amy did start a fitness journey but had to put it on pause when she got pregnant with baby number 2. Amy weighed 288 pounds during her pregnancy with her first baby, and her doctor hoped that she was under 250 this time, but she weighed 275 pounds. Her doctor said that Amy hadn’t put any effort into weight loss between the two babies. Although, with gastric bypass, Amy did start at 406, that is an amazing accomplishment, not to be forgotten.

1000-lb Sisters Spoilers – There Is A Happy Ending

Even though Amy did have complications with her second pregnancy, the good news, as fans know, is that she gave birth to an adorable baby boy who they named Glenn, last summer, on July 5th. Glen Allen Halterman weighed 5 pounds 11oz, and Amy said, “the wait is finally over… Michael and I are happy to announce the birth of our son, Glenn Allen Halterman. The delivery was a huge success and now I have both of my miracle boys; our family is complete!”

Sadly for 1000-lb Sister fans, Amy is not going to be appearing that much in upcoming episodes of 1000-lb Sisters season 4 because the focus will be highlighted more on Tammy with her health struggles and her new marriage. This actually fits well with Amy now that she has two young children and continues to work on her weight loss.

1000-lb Sisters returns to TLC on January 17th, 2023, at 9 p.m. ET/PT, and will focus on Tammy surviving a near-death experience and struggle to cope with her new reality, and new husband.
