Tammy Slaton made her debut on the TLC show alongside her sister, Amy Slaton, to document the progress in their weight loss journey. The two helped and lifted each other until they were qualified to undergo bariatric surgery. During its first season, Amy was the first one to experience the surgery and lost more than 100 pounds until the end of Season 3. However, Tammy struggled to maintain the diet and exercise that her doctor has prescribed to her.

As a result, the TLC star became demotivated in achieving her ideal weight. Tammy spent a lot of time drinking alcoholic beverages and eating unhealthy foods as she went out partying with some friends. When Dr. Charles Procter Jr. paid a visit to Tammy’s home in Dixon, Kentucky, he encouraged his patient to go back on track. She agreed with the idea and started to go into rehab to help her heal from her food addiction.

The TLC star met and fell in love with her now husband, Caleb, when she entered food rehabilitation. Last November 2022, they involved themselves in sacred matrimony alongside 30 of their friends and family members. Months after their marriage, Tammy sat with PEOPLE and talked about her big day.

“I literally married my best friend,” she stated. The Kentucky resident also hailed her wedding as perfect day as there was so much love in the room. “I love waking up every morning and seeing his face and seeing his face every night before going to bed,” Tammy added.

Tammy Slaton – Receives Praises Online For Her Massive Weight Loss

In other news, fans showered Tammy with compliments due to her massive weight loss. Last month, the 36-year-old star posted a video of herself on TikTok, lip-syncing a Christmas song. She captioned the post: “I know Christmas is over, but I thought this was funny/cute.”
