Her sister Amanda was worried sick when the doctors told the entire family that Tammy’s lungs had already given up and her body was shutting down. Because of her condition, she has inserted a breathing tube in her throat.

‘1000-Lb Sisters – Tammy Slaton Loses 115 Pounds While In Rehab

After three weeks of her battle in the hospital, Tammy was able to go back to rehab and continue healing herself from food addiction. After 30 days of the consistent diet, the TLC star was able to lose 115 pounds.

However, she received a lot of criticism online for not doing her best to move around and be active during her stay in a facility in Ohio. She doesn’t want to leave her wheelchair and refused to take a walk in their rented house during their recent family trip.

Because of choosing to stay in her chair all the time, Tammy received lots of criticisms, saying that the TLC star was too lazy to get active. However, Tammy surprised her fans with a video she uploaded on Instagram as she tried to get up from her chair. Though the video was cut before she was seen standing, fans were still pleased with her effort.

The “1000-Lb Sisters” viewers were delighted to see Tammy help herself and be more focused on her diet for her to be qualified for bariatric surgery. They filled the TLC star’s comment section with compliments in her latest Instagram post.
