The Bachelorette Season 16 Spoilers: Fans Point Out Huge Age Gap Between Clare Crawley And Contestants

While there’s no doubt that Clare will have plenty to choose from this season, many Bachelor Nation fans were quick to point out the huge age gap between some of the cast members and The Bachelorette herself. As many fans already know, Clare has made headlines for being the oldest bachelorette in the spotlight at age 39. However, some of her potential suitors this year are as young as 23. Even though Clare often says that age is nothing but a number, this fact hasn’t sat very well with quite a few long-time Bachelorette fans.

In fact, some comments from concerned viewers have included, “I really was hoping they would have men that are Clare’s age. It would be really nice to see some maturity in this show, especially after the train wreck of a season on The Bachelor,” along with, “NO, NO, NO!!! I was so excited when I saw it was Clare and I was going to watch it but seriously? A 23-year-old? I’m over it.”

Another fan wrote, “Unless Clare specifically asked for all these young guys, this is wrong!!! Obviously, a lot of people including Clare are not serious about this!!! 23, 24, 25 REALLY?”

So far the ABC network has not made any comments about the casting and why so many of the contestants are much younger than The Bachelorette herself, but there’s a good chance that fans will find the reason behind it soon enough. Then again, a lot of Bachelor Nation fans have expressed their dismay over this decision, adding that they hope this new pool of young men are coming on the show in the hopes that they find love and not celebrity fame. Needless to say, fans will have to tune in when the show airs later this summer.
