American Idol Spoilers: Katy Perry Eyes Favorite To Win Season 21

American Idol spoilers and updates tease that season 21 is well on its way with host Ryan Seacrest, and panel judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie. The twelve Idol hopefuls remaining are We Ani, Warren Paey, Haven Madison, Tyson Venegas, Colin Stough, MaryBeth Byrd, Iam Tongi, Oliver Steele, Lucy Love, Zachariah Smith, Megan Danielle and Nutsa.

Last week all Idol fans were shocked when Nutsa was chosen by Luke and Katy as the judges pick to move forward in the top 12.

Although Nutsa can belt it out like no other, Idol fans are not liking that she has already appeared in various televised singing competitions, even won one of them, and she has released three singles.

Even though Katy shouted out with Luke “we are nuts for Nutsa,” she has another favorite who she is rooting for to win this season.

18-year-old Colin Stough is an HVAC technician from small town, Amory, Mississippi. Colin’s mother signed him up for American Idol and during his initial audition, he sang “Simple Man,” by Lynyrd Skynyrd granting him three yes votes from the judges and a trip to Hollywood.

Now, Katy proudly declares that Colin is the “Brad Pitt” of country music after he stunned judges and fans with his rendition of “Dancing On My Own,” by Robyn, which is now being called his “breakout performance.”

The Mississippi native had very little confidence when he auditioned for Idol, but that seems to be fading, performance after performance, as he lets go of his guitar and his trademark hat.

American Idol Updates – Katy Is Sold!

Katy liked Colin but he didn’t really “knock it out of the park” for her until Colin performed, “Dancing ON My Own.” Katy admitted, “the Robyn song was one of the best performances of the whole night.

He really sealed his deal. It only took a different moment. I think he literally turned his life around. He’s the Brad Pitt of country music. He’s got the taste and the song choice and the vocal ability–he really showcased it tonight.”
