Are You the One? Moves To Paramount Plus – Goes Global

Are You the One? is a popular dating show on MTV, but it’s about to shift across to Paramount Plus. So far, the show aired for eight seasons, and it’s not disappearing soon. In fact, it’s going global, which sounds like fans are assured of many more seasons.

Are You the One? – Mystery Of Renewal Resolved

All TV shows, whether dramas or reality, keep fans sitting on the edge of their seats for a renewal date. Or, fans find out that for obscure reasons, their favorite shows get dropped altogether. The mystery of renewals can sometimes be extremely disappointing. Well, if you are a fan of the dating show, you can at least relax because it continues. Unfortunately, though, you will have to watch it on Paramount Plus. Of course, it’s a very popular streaming platform, but not everyone likes moving away from Cable.

Of course, the very existence of the mega-popular series, Yellowstone, makes Paramount Plus, an obvious choice for the move of Are You the One? Actually, it potentially brings in a massive built-in audience that MTV can’t possibly achieve. The news about the move from MTV to a global audience arrived via Variety this week. It looks like the format of the show remains the same, so fans will still see folks looking for their perfect match whilst they all live in one big house.

Are You the One? – Global Locations

If you have not watched the show, about 20 recently single people go through the matchmaking process. Similar to the way experts match people in Married at First Sight, they meet new people. However, there’s no pressure to walk down any aisle. However, they date and play for a cash reward, which adds to the edge. That comes when the singles get a chance to identify all 11 accurate matches. More spice comes along as they all end up living under one roof. Which explains the “fivesome” described in season 8.

Are You the One? Season 8 was more interesting as it was gender fluid, adding to the fun of it all. However, it’s not clear if the show on P Plus will stick with that side of the storyline. The couples go global and that alone will make it interesting for a wider audience.

Are You the One? – Progress So far

Are You the One? starts looking for people to sign up in spring, and if you get selected you can expect to start filming in the summer of 2022.
