Below Deck Alum Kate Chastain Congrats Chef Ben On Engagement Amid Baby Rumors!

Below Deck alum Kate Chastain recently welcomed her first baby into the world. But the Below Deck chief stew then discovered fans speculating that her former co-star, chef Ben Robinson, had fathered her baby. And so Kate quickly halted the speculation with a clever clap-back.

However, now Ben has revealed his own life-changing news: An engagement. And in response to discovering that the Below Deck chef got engaged, Chastain managed to combine congratulating her former co-star with a hilarious reference to those baby daddy rumors. Get the details below.

Below Deck – Chef Ben Robinson Shares Engagement! 

Chef Ben Robinson just revealed that he took the next step in his romance with Kiara Cabral by getting engaged. And when his Below Deck former co-star Kate Chastain heard the news, she turned to Instagram to congratulate him. However, Kate joked about the rumors that Ben fathered her newborn son Sullivan Cay as part of her congrats to Ben and his fiancée Kiara Cabral, noted E News.

“Congratulations!” Kate posted on her Instagram Stories. And she also shared a screenshot of an article about Ben and Kiara getting engaged. But then the Below Deck alum cheekily referred to those baby daddy rumors. And Kate joked that Kiara will become “the best stepmom ever.”

However, Ben kept his own social media engagement announcement both serious and sweet. “After a wonderful 4 year relationship with my love Kiara, I decided to take the next step and propose,” the Below Deck chef wrote. Ben also posted pics of the couple. And he added, “I feel like the luckiest man alive! Thank you to my friends and family for all of your support. I couldn’t have done it without you, and obviously thank you to Kiara for saying yes and making an honest man out of me, I love you,” added the 42-year-old Below Deck star.

Kate Chastain – Denies That Below Deck Co-Star Fathered Her Baby

Ben shared his engagement news only a few days after Kate joked about rumors that the Below Deck chef fathered her baby boy. And Chastain turned to Twitter to challenge the rumors. Along with a pic of her infant, the Below Deck chef stew tweeted, “For the record, the only thing this handsome guy has in common with any chef is the tendency to get emotional around meal times.”

The rumors about a romance between Ben and Kate reflect their relationship between seasons two and three of Below Deck. But Kate shared that though they did once hook up, their fling didn’t last long. And when Ben learned that Kate had become pregnant, he shared a photo on social media with his pal.

“Who knew that Kate Chastain and I would be the same weight one day,” teased Ben at the time. “But to be fair I have been hitting the gym! Please wish my great friend @kate_chastain an easy delivery and a healthy beautiful baby! I am so proud of who you have become and the mother you will soon be.”

However, Robinson kept his own romances private for years. And since appearing on Below Deck from 2013 to 2016, Ben did drop a clue during the show’s 100th episode special. But he only described Kiara as “a girl that I like at the moment. We’re trying to take it slowly. So, we’ll see what becomes of it. But she’s a friend, and we’re having a good time together.” And now it seems that those good times blossomed into an engagement.
