Below Deck spoilers reveal that Captain Lee will not return to the show. And now Below Deck Mediterranean star Captain Sandy has offered her thoughts on Lee’s exit from the show. But she dropped a bombshell in revealing what she knew.

What did she know and when? That’s the question some Below Deck fans have tried to answer about Captain Sandy’s knowledge of Captain Lee’s exit. But in a new interview, Sandy indicated that she assumed Lee made the decision to quit on his own. And the Below Deck Mediterranean star told Us magazine, “I had no idea.”

However, Captain Sandy then made an unprecedented remark about Lee’s health. “But he’s not well,” she claimed. “So I think if I was in my 70s and I struggled physically, I’m gonna be laying on a beach enjoying [myself]. I’m not gonna be worried about doing a TV show,” added the 55-year-old Below Deck Mediterranean star.

And Sandy also shared that she has not talked with Lee since the news broke that the 73-year-old would not appear in the upcoming season of Below Deck. “I don’t know how it happened because I haven’t spoken to him,” she stated. Season 11 of Below Deck will see Below Deck Adventure star Captain Kerry replacing Captain Lee.

But for his part, Captain Lee admitted to feeling stunned at the news that he would not star in season 11. And he confessed, “That came right out of left field. I did not see that one coming at all.” But Lee also shared, “If they found that they needed me back on the show, I’d go back. I’ve done it for 10 years,” he pointed out. “And I would kind of like to — if I’m going to make an exit — do it on different terms.”

And the man who Bravo advertised as the Stud Of The Sea threw shade at the network. Lee shared that Bravo told him they “would like to move in a new direction. But I mean, that’s kind of a cliche that everybody uses when they find themselves in that situation where they’re going to let somebody go,” he pointed out. And Lee noted that comments such as wanting to “fresh it up a little” and “move in a different direction” represent “tired cliches that get overused.”

However, the rumors about a feud between Sandy and Lee remain. And the gossip reflects Sandy temporarily replacing Lee during season 10. During that time period, Lee blamed Sandy for not alerting him about her decision to fire stew Camille Lamb. And Sandy shared that she felt in charge amid Lee’s health worries.
