Chrisley Knows Best fans turned Nanny Faye into a favorite soon after her debut. And now the mother of Todd Chrisley wants to set the record straight about one of her grandsons. Nanny Faye discussed the rumors that no one in her family talks to Kyle Chrisley on a recent podcast.

Chrisley Knows Best star Nanny Faye recently appeared on her granddaughter Lindsie Chrisley’s Podcast One show The Southern tea. And Lindsie invited Nanny Faye to discuss various rumors. But the 79-year-old got heated over questions regarding Kyle Chrisley. And in particular, Nanny Faye denied reports that the Chrisley clan “has little or no contact” with Kyle, 31, per People.

“Oh, that’s not true at all,” claimed the Chrisley Knows Best star about her grandson. “I talked to him at least once or twice a day. Now, he called me this morning at 5:30. We have a chat. He talks to his dad [Todd], and [brothers] Chase and Grayson, and they go play golf together. So that’s not true. Just because he has a nighttime job that he has to sleep during the day, he can’t get out and play like the rest,” pointed out Nanny Faye.

And Lindsie, 33, also commented on the estrangement rumors. Lindsie called it a “very common misconception that there’s no contact when certain family members aren’t on” their USA Network series Chrisley Knows Best. However, that assumption is “just not true,” she added. “I wasn’t on the show since 2017,” pointed out Lindsie.

The 33-year-old recalled the period during which she remained estranged from the family. However, Lindsie revealed that she reconciled a full year prior to the media’s knowledge. As a result, she believes that if someone in the family doesn’t appear on Chrisley Knows Best, observers wrongly assume that communications have ended.

Kyle Chrisley – ‘Always’ Talks To Nanny Faye

And Nanny Faye gushed over the time that she spends with Kyle. For instance, she, Kyle’s wife Ashleigh, and Kyle often dine together. “He comes, we grill out hamburgers. Him and [his wife] Ashleigh. The kids come and the door is always open,” added Nanny Faye. “He kept my dog this weekend. I met him. We went to the Waffle House. He hugged me and this morning, he calls me at 5:30 because he knows I’m up and we talk.”

Nanny Faye described how her grandson sometimes “works all night long.” He will call her “at 1 or 2 in the morning and say, ‘Nanny, you asleep?’ Sometimes I’m not,” admitted the Chrisley Knows Best star. “But we always talk,” added Nanny Faye about Kyle.

Because of substance issue issues, Kyle appeared only in the first season of Chrisley Knows Best. And Todd and Julie Chrisley took custody of his 10-year-old daughter Chloe, whom he shares with ex Angela Johnson, as Kyle’s struggles became worse. However, during Todd and Julie’s imprisonment, 25-year-old Savannah has become the primary caretaker. Kyle’s sister currently cares both for her niece Chloe and brother Grayson, 16.

But in a Facebook post several years ago, Kyle confessed, “I haven’t been the best dad to Chloe. I’ve had a problem with drugs, I’ve acted completely ridiculous.” However, he expressed appreciation to his parents for standing by his side. And Kyle added, “9 months ago I went to my dad with an apology. His words were ‘I love you always, and you are forgiven’ and just like that I was welcomed back into his life with open arms.”

However, the 31-year-old continues to experience struggles since that reconciliation. Just two months after Todd and Julie began their prison sentences for fraud, Kyle got arrested. He faced charges for aggravated assault in Tennessee.
