Savannah Chrisley Talks Prison Visits

Savannah Chrisley, formerly on Chrisley Knows Best, has been striving to stay positive amidst the imprisonment of her parents, Todd and Julie. This week, she and her producer, Erin Dugan, got together on the Unlocked podcast and she opened up about the emotional toll of visiting her parents in two different prisons.

Savannah Chrisley – Feels Deep Pain About Todd & Julie

It’s understandable that Todd’s daughter feels lonely and sad with her parents in prison. On top of that, her personal life is played out in the public eye. Instead of shying away from the spotlight, she’s chosen to be candid about her feelings, which is commendable. Her mom, Julie, is currently serving her sentence in Kentucky, while her dad, Todd, is in a Florida prison. Therefore, she’s unable to visit both of them concurrently. It’s no wonder she feels conflicted at times.

Julie and Todd’s incarceration poses numerous obstacles for Savannah Chrisley, who has stepped up as the primary guardian for her younger siblings. According to her, maintaining this role isn’t always easy. Due to Todd and Julie’s separate but concurrent prison sentences after their convictions for fraud and tax evasion, their loved ones are left to cope on their own. This week, Savannah talked about how she feels choosing which parent to visit.

Savannah Chrisley can’t see both parents each weekend. So, she has to make a choice of which one of them to see. Actually, it looks like Chase will visit the one that she can’t see. Still, there are some conflicts and pain in having to make the decision. In fact, she compared it to being the child of “divorced” parents. Loving both of them, but never being with both of them at the same time isn’t easy.

Savannah Chrisley – Unlocked Fans Comment

As she also mentioned that her mom and dad can’t even call each other, one follower seemed shocked. @kristybrill2571opined, “I think it’s crazy they won’t let your parents talk to each other. At least once or twice a month would help.”

One fan said pretty much what a lot of others felt. @HeatherSC02 wrote, “I think about yall every day and pray. …so much laughter and joy brought into my home because of yall. I can’t imagine going through what your family is. Todd and Julie need to be free and I pray that day comes soon. … Your parents raised you for success. Please give your parents love and let them know they are being prayed for.”
