Earlier this month, the official trailer for the new Duggar docuseries, Shiny Happy People dropped. Fans are looking forward to learning more about the controversial family. The new series could expose more Duggar family secrets. Josh Duggar’s scandal is nothing compared to what the fans could learn.
Shiny Happy People is a four-part series that exposes the Duggar family. It also includes interviews with Jill Duggar and her husband Derek Dillard. Producer Olivia Crist shared the details of the docuseries with People. The focus is on the victims who have been impacted by the Duggars and their scandals.
“Josh Duggar is really the tip of the iceberg. There are so many thousands of families that have been hurt by this and have not had a voice, not for lack of trying, for many, many, many years. I mean, hope, the takeaway is really hearing the survivors, hearing what they’ve been through.”
Victims will come forward and share their experiences with fundamentalism and the IBLP group. This will give them a voice and prove that they’re the not only ones who went through this. Crist also touched upon Josh’s scandals. He grew up in a “system that is inherently abusive” and a home with a “lack of sex education.”
This was a “recipe for disaster.” Later in life, Josh abused underage victims, including two of his sisters. The TV producer teased that more abuses will be revealed in the docuseries. There are other abuses within the “cult” that shows the same lack of sex education that the Duggar went through.
Counting On Spoilers -Josh Duggar’s Past Come To Light
The Counting On spoilers reveals that more of Josh Duggar’s past could come to light. He can’t escape the controversy even as he continues to serve in jail. The scandal first broke news in 2015. Josh allegedly molested several underage girls, including his sisters Jill and Jessa.
Josh didn’t face charges for those allegations. His past came back to haunt him in 2021 when he was found guilty of possessing child pornography. He was sentenced to 151 months in jail. All I can say is keeping these kids away from reality in the world around them has made them very immature to their surroundings
I don’t think too much more will come out about the Family itself. I’m glad the girls have been speaking of themselves. And maybe the boys will find their voice one day. Parents are not realizing or looking towards the future of the kids. They may have money now but it will not last forever. These kids need to learn how to support themselves out in the real world not just their Father’s World. A lot of immaturity because the kids have not been able to grow with the world around them.
