Todd Chrisley and his wife Julie Chrisley may profit from their prison stays. Because according to their daughter Savannah, the Chrisley Knows Best alums have begun penning their memoirs.
But at the same time, Todd and Julie have managed to stay in touch by emailing each other. Get all the details on their post-reality-TV lives below.
Todd Chrisley Emails Julie Chrisley In Prison
Savannah Chrisley just offered some insights on life for her father Todd Chrisley and mom Julie Chrisley amid their prison stay. And she shared that the two have received email privileges that allow them to exchange messages. The Chrisley Knows Best patriarch and matriarch received guilty verdicts on tax evasion and bank fraud charges last year, noted TV Insider.
However, at first Julie and Todd received a combined 19-year prison sentence. And Todd began his 12-year sentence in January at Florida’s Federal Prison Camp Pensacola. At the same time, Julie started her seven-year sentence at Kentucky’s Federal Medical Center in Lexington.
And the couple’s daughter Savannah shared that her parents stay busy by “documenting every little thing that goes on.” But then she teased, “They may be working on books, they may. Who knows?”
Savannah Chrisley – Alleges Problematic Prison Conditions
However, Savannah and her brother Chase Chrisley both have complained about prison conditions, which they called “inhumane.” For instance, Savannah described how “corrupt” prison guards allegedly cut off the air conditioning and padlocked the ice machines during 100-degree heat.
And Savannah shared that she talks to her parents multiple times daily on the phone. But she complained that her parents haven’t talked in person since they reported to prison in January. However, the two do email. But Savannah also claimed that her parents experience problems with letters.
“What’s unfortunate is you have people in these prisons who are holding their mail,” she alleged. And she claimed that some inmates in prison get “lost.” Savannah also noted that those outside prison “don’t seem to care to hear their stories.”
Since the original prison sentences, Todd and Julie received reductions in their prison sentences. For example, FPC Pensacola’s federal prison records show that the Chrisley Knows Best patriarch will receive his release on January 22, 2033. And that means his prison sentence got reduced by nearly two years.
And Julie also benefited from the changed prison sentences. Records for FMC Lexington reveal that the Chrisley Knows Best matriarch will get released on October 19, 2028. And that date falls about 15 months short of her original seven-year sentence.
