Julie Chrisley Switch To Medical Prison Sparks Health Rumors

Julie Chrisley and Todd Chrisley recently surrendered to separate prisons. But a last minute change for Julie surprised Chrisley Knows Best followers. And it also sparked rumors that the Chrisley family matriarch might suffer from medical issues.

Find out about Julie’s last-minute change to a medical prison. And learn what it means. Get all the details below.

Julie Chrisley – Starts Sentence At Medical Prison: Why?

Chrisley Knows Best alum Julie Chrisley just spent her first hours behind bars. But fans felt worried to learn that the Chrisley matriarch surrendered at the Federal Medical Center in Kentucky. However, sources within the Chrisley camp told TMZ that Julie’s assignment does not relate to her health.

And illness-related rumors over the reason for a sudden late change in Julie’s prison assignment seem misguided. The insiders shared that Julie did not receive the change in her prison assignment due to a need for treatment. And she also reportedly does not foresee any medical worries.

However, the Chrisley Knows Best alum’s new home at the FMC in Kentucky includes a medical center with a minimum security prison camp adjacent. And a spokesperson for the Bureau of Prisons explained that Julie began her prison sentence there. However, it does mark a change from the Chrisley Knows Best alum’s original assignment to FCI Marianna in Florida.

Julie Chrisley – Originally Assigned To Prison Near Todd Chrisley

But one intriguing item stems from the location. Julie initially planned to reside at a prison close to Pensacola. And that facility would be near Todd’s new home behind bars. However, speculation seemed mainly linked to the medical aspect of Julie’s new prison rather than rumors about why she and Todd faced separation.

In 2012, Julie received a diagnosis of breast cancer. However, the Chrisley family matriarch improved through the years. And last year, her doctors reassured her that she could stop taking medications related to battling cancer. As a result, Julie began her prison sentence of 7 years with her health reportedly strong. And Todd started his 12-year prison sentence at the same time.

However, insiders told Radar a possible reason for Julie’s prison change. And those sources claimed that Julie had pleaded to go to a low-security Federal Correctional Institution in Tallahassee, Florida near Todd. But officials denied that request. As a result, Julie nibbled at her first prison dinner in Kentucky. Offerings included a chicken cheese steak sandwich, a choice of bean or pasta salad, carrots, and bread rolls.

But although the two now reside about 10 hours from each other, Todd and Julie can stay in touch. If their wardens approve, the Chrisley Knows Best alums can email and write letters. And they can even exchange packages with approval.
