Kathy Griffin Says Housewives Are Scared Of Andy Cohen

Bravo King Andy Cohen has some explaining to do!  In February Real Housewives of New York star Leah McSweeney filed a lawsuit against the Watch What Happens Live star and accused him of snorting cocaine with the cast and manipulating the housewives in to getting drunk while the cameras are rolling to make more exciting reality TV.

Andy Cohen’s rep denied the claims, but other celebs are getting involved now, including Kathy Griffin.

Andy Cohen has appeared unbothered since Leah McSweeney’s lawsuit went public.  But, there has always been unofficial accusations against the Bravo producers and Real Housewives fans know that there is just as much drama behind the scenes as there is when the cameras are rolling.

Leah McSweeney – Files Lawsuit Against Andy Cohen

And, it’s hard to argue against Leah’s case when literally ever episode of Real Housewives of New York involved open bars or gossiping over cocktails and wine.

Sure, Andy Cohen wasn’t behind the camera ordering the Housewives to pound shots, but everyone knows that ratings would drop expeditiously if the cast was sober all the time and having civilized conversations amongst themselves.

Leave it to Kathy Griffin to say what everyone has been thinking about the messy situation.  And Griffin is very familiar with Andy Cohen, she actually stated back in 2017 that Cohen offered her cocaine before she appeared on his series Watch What Happens Live.

Kathy Griffin – Talks Andy Cohen Case

According to Page Six, “Kathy Griffin believes some “Housewives” are “scared” of Andy Cohen because he holds the fate of their careers in his hands. “As long as he’s choosing the ‘Housewives’ and involved with the ‘Housewives,’ they’re probably pretty scared of him, and I don’t blame them,” Griffin said on the “Miss Understood with Rachel Uchitel” podcast Thursday. “I mean, these are women that are on that show, and many of them are getting DUIs … gone to prison.”

Do you agree with Kathy Griffin?  Or at the end of the day is it the Housewives’ responsibility to walk away and choose another source of income?
