Love During Lockup Death Update For Asonta Gholston

Asonta Gholston and Raneka appeared on Love During Lockup this year, but unfortunately, he passed away. The initial news came via Raneka on social media, and as details emerged, it was believed that he died in a car chase with the cops. However, new updates suggest that might not be the case. 

Love During Lockup – Initial Report On Astona Ghoslton 

Plenty of outlets reported that Raneka’s love had passed away in a car crash in Georgia after he fled from the police. In fact, when Raneka posted a photo of him, lots of comments from WEtv fans expressed their sentiment about that. Some of them were shocked, and others just accepted that’s what happened. 

Updates started arriving and TV Shows Ace noted that initially, there were few details. Love During Lockup fans discovered that the death came after a serious car crash and Astona crashed into a truck that was “totaled.”  Meanwhile, Starcasm noted that “reports indicate he was driving and being pursued by police when he crashed head-on into a truck with four people inside.”

Love During Lockup -There Was No Police Chase?

In another article by Starcasm, the outlet reported, “Initial reports claimed Asonta was being pursued by police at the time of the crash, but Georgia State Patrol Post 7 Commander Donnie Saddler told Now Habersham that wasn’t the case.” Instead, he seems to have driven past the cops at high speed. Apparently, the accident happened before they could react to chase him. 

The update about the Love During Lockup star continued:

According to what Saddler told Now Habersham, ‘Gholston was speeding and passing on a double yellow line. He says the trooper noticed and was turning around, but Gholston was ‘never fleeing.”

While people are sad that the Love During Lockup star passed away after flipping his car, they are relieved that four young people in the truck survived the wreck.

In a post by Raneka, some Instagram followers really hope that WEtv pulls the scenes with the reality TV star in them. Asonta Gholston, it seems he will be missed but they feel it is a respectful thing to do. Of course, when they found out it was true that the WEtv star had really died, many of them sent in their condolences. One of them said, “Rest in Peace, Asonta. My thoughts and Prayers are with your loved ones. .”

Another sad commenter wrote, “Damn.. so sad. RIP. ️ Keeping your friends & family in my thoughts and prayers, as well. ❤️”

For now, fans of the show will need to wait to find out what happens with the segments of Asonta Gholston and Raneka.
