This September, My Big Fat Fabulous Life begins its 10th season on a sad note. Whitney Way Thore, 39, and her family miss her mother Babs.

And spoilers via People reveal that Whitney tries to ease her father’s grief by creating a bucket list.

My Big Fat Fabulous Life viewers will miss fan favorite Barbara “Babs” Thore this season. When Whitney shared about her mother’s struggles, she explained that Babs suffered from a “progressive condition caused by proteins in the blood vessels of the brain that can cause dementia, seizures, or like in my mom’s case, brain bleeding (hemorrhagic strokes).” But for her father, Glenn Thore, the loss still hurts.

And Whitney confides in her brother Hunter. The star of My Big Fat Fabulous Life worries about her father after seeing him confess that standing by the kitchen table “just brings back all these memories with your mom.

“ And Glenn told his daughter, “I don’t wanna do anything without your mother.”

My Big Fat Fabulous Life Spoilers – Glenn Gets A Bucket List

However, Hunter feels that he and Whitney can improve their father’s attitude. And so they invent a bucket list of exciting activities.

The adventures include indoor skydiving, getting a tattoo, and even a reunion with a “long-last daughter.” As a result, Whitney proudly labels Glenn a “bad a*s.”

However, the fun ends when a trip to view a glacier in Switzerland results in a health emergency for Whitney.

And Glenn frets over the risks of putting his daughter in “real danger” as a result of the mountain top’s elevation. “I don’t wanna lose you and your mom,” notes Whitney’s worried father.

But the star of My Big Fat Fabulous Life takes a different kind of risk in her personal life. And after her ex Lennie begs involved in a new relationship with someone else, Whitney tries to start dating again.

However, she feels depressed about the possibilities.

And Whitney confesses, “I make out with an ex and then they immediately find themselves in a happy and successful relationship. It would be nice if I could have the same.”

But after experimenting with dating apps, the My Big Fat Fabulous Life star calls the situation “abysmal.” And it doesn’t help when she views her brother’s online dating profile.

The new season of My Big Fat Fabulous Life debuts on Tuesday, September 5, at 9 pm ET/PT on TLC and becomes available on discovery+ the same day.
