Outdaughtered Spoilers – Danielle Battles Autoimmune Disease

Adam Busby and Danielle Busby star in Outdaughtered, now in its ninth season. And fans love the show for its inside look at life with quintuplets. But while their family life looks like fun, Danielle told Us magazine that she struggles with an autoimmune disease. And the 39-year-old recalled, “I used to not be able to get upstairs without feeling like I was gonna pass out.”

As a result of her fatigue, the Outdaughtered star realized that something was wrong. And Danielle explained, That’s just not a norm for me. I was always athletic and kind of fit,” she shared. “And we’ve always taken care of ourselves. So for my body to go so down, it just was alarming.”

Danielle’s symptoms began after she and Adam welcomed their quintuplets into the world. After the birth of Ava, Olivia, Hazel, Riley and Parker in 2015, the Outdaughtered star felt that her body began to “slow down.” Danielle and Adam also co-parent their 12-year-old daughter Blayke. Outdaughtered Spoilers – Danielle Lives ‘Life Of Adrenaline’

Danielle recalled her battle with getting pregnant. And the Outdaughtered star at first tried to conceive via IVF prior to Blayke’s birth in 2011. However, Danielle then chose to use Femara. This medication boosts fertility for patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). And so when the reality TV star wanted to welcome more children, she went back on Femara.

But though the second round of medication led to her beloved quintuplets, Danielle feels her “body never kind of recovered. Because it was nonstop movement. I was living a life of adrenaline for years,” added the Outdaughtered star. As a result, when her body started to “slow down” amid her daughters’ first grade years, she suffered.

“My body wasn’t used to this. And so I went into this shock,” explained Danielle. However, after her doctor diagnosed her with fibromyalgia, Danielle still experiences ups and downs. But the Busby family plans to show it all as their reality TV show returns following two years on hiatus.

“We just picked up right where we left off,” shared Adam. “It felt like old times. And it was cool just to see, like, the crew members that returned this past season. Because they’re like family to us.” Season 9 of OutDaughtered premiered on TLC on Tuesday, July 11.
