Rob Rausch Brings Maura Higgins’ $16K Birkin To ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Rob Rausch went viral because he turned up at the Dancing with the Stars Season 35 premiere and showed his support for his The Traitors costar, Maura Higgins. He took along the Hermès Birkin bag he’d gifted her after the show.

The DWTS Appearance

Fans who watch DWTS saw Rausch sitting in the audience next to Lisa Rinna, and he held tightly onto the Birkin during Higgins’ foxtrot. 

When @spillseshafterhours shared the clip on YouTube, the influencer captioned it with “Rob supporting Maura and holding the birkin im crying 😭.”

Followers of the account took to the comments section to have their say about it. One of them wrote, “lol I was wondering why there was this clip of him I didn’t know she was on dwts.”

Then another one who obviously watched The Traitors quipped, “please not the birkin.”

Then another appreciative viewer wrote, “Omg this was so funny.”

On Dancing with the Stars, Higgins joked about the Birkin featuring in the audience, calling it “the baby hanging out with daddy.”

How The Bag Happened

The gift was the completion of a promise that Rausch made after betraying Higgins to win $220,800 on The Traitors Season 4. Fans saw how happy Maura Higgins was when they saw it go down on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen back in March.

The Hermès Togo Birkin 30 with gold hardware is estimated to have a value of $16,000, so it wasn’t a huge surprise that Maura Higgins was overjoyed.

The Cut reported on the moment Rausch gave her the designer bag. Higgins covered her face with her hands in happiness, then grabbed the bag and gushed, “See, this is my win. I knew I’d have my moment.”

She’d jumped up to hug Rausch and told him, “You’re forgiven!” Speaking about the bag, she also said, “I love her. She’s beautiful.”

Later, she also thanked Lisa Rinna, who helped to procure the precious bag.

Fans Quickly Made the Connection

According to People, which also reported on Rob Rausch at the Dancing with the Stars premiere, fans immediately made the connection between the two reality TV shows.

The outlet wrote, “As he cheered Higgins on, Rausch showed off the bag, which displayed the number to text to vote for the Love Island alum.”

Who Is Rob Rausch?

Rob Rausch was born in Florence, Alabama, and he’s got a background in snake wrangling with his company, Rausch Reptile Removal.

SCMP noted that he also co-founded the clothing brand Creek Rat with his sister Lily, but people who hadn’t heard of him soon found out who he was because he appeared on Love Island USA in Seasons 5 and 6 and even “starred in music videos for Dasha’s “Like It Like That” and Nessa Barrett’s Passenger Princess.”

Next, he did well on The Traitors when he won $220,800 and betrayed Maura Higgins, who more recently seemed delighted with him at Dancing with the Stars.

Expect to see more of the duo because, per Deadline, Rob and Maura Higgins are set to co-host the upcoming series Get Me Out of Here! next year.
