Savannah Chrisley Insists On Paying Parents’ $17 Million Restitution Fees For This Reason

Savannah Chrisley is taking on a new responsibility and it is heavy. However, the former reality star is willing to part with a couple millions if it means she gets to help her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, as they serve time behind bars. “I think Savannah, while it’s not her job to make restitution on behalf of her parents, she has every intention,” he said. “I’ve spoken to her a number of times about it. She has every intention to do everything she can do to make restitution on behalf of her parents from the outside.”

Surgent did not fail to point out how “unusual” it is that a young woman like Savannah would want to take on a burden that big, even though she is in a position to help out as a result of her successful Unlocked podcast.

“Usually children, while they love their parents, can only do so much. Savannah happens to be in a situation that she’s very creative, she has a unique talent and she’s a great interviewer,” he added.

“She’s gonna do well towards that end as far as earning money and being able to help with restitution.”

In November 2022, Todd, 54, and Julie, 50, were sentenced to prison for fraud, despite the fact that they plead innocent throughout the trial. In January, they reported to prison, but not before appealing the process.

To help them win their appeal, the family brought in new legal counsel, Surgent, with Savannah recently revealing in her podcast that they’re “doing everything that we possibly can to fight this appeal.”

Savannah also made it clear that she does not intend to quit.
