General Hospital star Nancy Lee Grahn tried to get the internet to cancel Carrie Underwood this week and nobody hopped on her bandwagon.
Things got a little awkward when Nancy announced she was boycotting the American Idol judge and nobody really joined her. What exactly did America’s Sweetheart Carrie Underwood do to the daytime diva?
American Idol is set to return this week, and Carrie Underwood is back as a celebrity judge on the ABC singing competition (which formerly aired on Fox). Carrie is currently doing the press tour with Ryan Seacrest and the other Idol judges to promote the new season. On January 23rd they appeared on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live to discuss Season 24.
Nancy Lee Grahn Wants The Internet To Cancel American Idol Judge
After ABC began promoting Carrie Underwood’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! appearance on social media, General Hospital cast member Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis) went OFF.
Over the years Grahn has inserted her foot in to her mouth on social media on more than one occasion, but as far as she’s concerned she was never wrong.
The GH actress’ strong political views have created drama on the internet in the past, at one point some fans were even petitioning for her to be fired over her hateful comments.
The Alexis Davis portrayer took to social media network Threads (a more liberal side of IG), and announced she wouldn’t be watching Jimmy’s show as long as Carrie Underwood was on it. Grahn wrote, “See ya next week @jimmykimmel, I refuse to even look at @carrieunderwood.”
Carrie Underwood Maga Ties Upset General Hospital Actress
The American Idol Judge usually keeps her political views out of the spotlight, a lot of her fans aren’t even sure which if she’s team Dems or Republicans half of the time.
However, Underwood performed at President Donald Tump’s recent inauguration and ruffled a lot of tailfeathers in Hollywood.
Apparently Kathy Lee Griffin agrees with Nancy Lee Grahn and wants the world to know that Carrie Underwood voted for Donald too.
The comedian added to her Threads post, “Yeah, no love for maga Carrie. It’s not just about political disagreements. Boycott Underwood, wherever & whenever. Sorry Jimmy.”
Are you still going to watch American Idol this season even though Carrie Underwood sang at President Trump’s Inauguration? Or do you agree with Grahn and Griffin? Sounds off down below and keep checking Celebrating The Soaps daily for more television news and updates.
