‘Sister Wives’: Gwendlyn Brown Reveals Kody Brown Was Nearly Arrested

Sister Wives star Gwendlyn Brown, in her latest YouTube reaction video, revealed some shocking details of how her father, Kody Brown, was almost arrested. The TLC star talked about the incident that happened more than a decade ago when the plural family lived in Utah and was introduced to the public for the very first time on TV.

The TLC Star Revealed That The Polygamous Family Had To Flee After The Utah Police Threatened That Her Father, Kody Brown, Might Be Arrested.

This revelation came after a fan questioned Gwendlyn why her parents hurriedly shifted from Utah and went to live in Las Vegas.

Moreover, the fan noted that another Mormon polygamous family, the Dargers, lives in Utah, claiming that they have been living there happily for the longest time.

To this, Gwendlyn added that this decision made by their family wasn’t out of choice but rather due to compulsion or demand of the situation. She added that she is surprised how the Dargers are still living in Utah comfortably without police intervention.

The reality star shared details of the incident from her childhood, stating that the Police came to their house regularly, claiming that they had to leave the state or her dad would have to be arrested. She seemed surprised at how the Dargers fared well for so long without the Police bothering them.

Kody And Christine Brown’s Daughter Further Explained That Their Decision To Move To Las Vegas Was Very Sudden And Weird To Her.

She went on to reveal that the Mormon community in Las Vegas is scary and evil to the point that they feel entitled. Gwendlyn explained her experience there was very terrible.

She even questioned her parent’s decision stating that logistically Wyoming or Montana would have been a better decision.

While bigamy was illegal in Utah in 2011 when the Browns fled the state, today, it has been decriminalized among consenting adults. The ruling was passed in March 2020, and the punishment has been reduced to an infraction.

Currently, Christine Brown is the only one who has moved back to Utah, while most members of the family remain in Flagstaff, Arizona.
