Sister Wives fans have kept their eyes on star Janelle Brown’s Instagram in the wake of her split from Kody Brown. And some thought that her first post after breaking up would feature her ex-husband. Wrong. Instead, Janelle focused on two precious family members.

“I couldn’t pass up matching sweaters for these two,” confessed the Sister Wives star in her Instagram caption. And Janelle, 53, shared a picture of her two dogs decked out in outfits for the holidays. The choice of her dogs rather than any Sister Wives co-stars seemed to send a message about the split, noted In Touch.

But before that post, Janelle also made a key change to her Instagram bio. And she wrote, “Just me.” Her happy face emoji coupled with the change made her split emotions clear. Prior to that change, Janelle had used her bio to describe herself as a sister wife. 

Sister Wives – Star Janelle Brown Can ‘Do It On Her Own’

Janelle and Kody had spiritually tied the knot in 1993. But after 29 years together, the Sister Wives star and the clan’s patriarch bid farewell. And an insider spilled on how Janelle feels about her ability to survive on her own.

“Janelle is a strong independent woman and realized she can do it on her own,” said the source. And the insider added that the Sister Wives star “outgrew” Kody. However, ever since the COVID-19 pandemic, Janelle clashed with Kody. And she disagreed with his rigid rules for the family. 

For instance, one key scene involved holiday plans. And Janelle informed her now ex husband that he could “f—k off.” She then fled from the room. But the Sister Wives star also shared other problems in her relationship. And she admitted, “I never thought I’d be in a place where I would be questioning my relationship.”

However, Janelle then confessed her concerns. “But the last few years, I’ve began to wonder if we’re compatible any more,” she shared. And she added, “Maybe this doesn’t work anymore for me, I don’t know.” As a result, Janelle hinted that she wants to put her focus on her children rather than Kody and the other sister wives. The Sister Wives patriarch and his now ex-wife share six children together: Madison, Logan, Gabriel, Garrison, Hunter and Savanah.
