Chris Harrison Ties The Knot

If one wedding is good, why not double the pleasure? That seems to reflect the philosophy of former Bachelor host Chris Harrison.

And so he and his new wife Lauren Zima held an intimate ceremony in Napa Valley, followed by a huge ceremony this month in Texas.

The Bachelor Host Chris Harrison Gets Married In Two Wedding Ceremonies

The former Bachelor host, 52, and his producer fiancée, 35, cherished both their “emotional, jubilant” ceremony in Napa Valley, Calif., and their “blowout bash” at a ranch in Austin, Texas, on Nov. 4, according to People.

And Lauren explained that they wanted initially to enjoy “an intimate weekend for our wedding ceremony in Napa.” But the couple also desired “to celebrate getting married with all the great friends we have — hence this bigger party.”

And by holding their second wedding in their hometown of Austin, the newlyweds could “include all of our friends.” As a result, they ensured “we didn’t leave our wedding feeling like we didn’t even see any of our loved ones— a story we’ve heard before,” she added.

However, before the second wedding, Chris and Lauren held a Bachelor World reunion at their house. Those invited included Wells Adams and Sarah Hyland, Ben Higgins and wife Jessica, Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham, Sean and Catherine Lowe, JoJo Fletcher, Trista Sutter, Colton Underwood and Jordan C. Brown.

Chris Harrison Arranges ‘Cowboy Cocktail Party’

And the day after the reunion, Harrison and Zima welcomed their 225 guests to their outdoor wedding ceremony. However, they also hosted a “cowboy cocktail party. They say everything’s bigger in Texas,” noted Harrison. “And that’s what we’re leaning into. We’ve asked guests to come ready to party!”

Special cocktails included ones honoring Harrison’s time on the Bachelor, such as a signature cocktail called The Final Rose and one called The Bachelor No More. And Zima chose to  wear a Sottero & Midgley strapless, A-line, satin wedding dress.

But she joked that they tried to “find a way for Chris to officiate his own wedding, since he has so much experience.” However, “instead we had Mike Levitt, Chris’ longtime friend,” added Harrison’s new bride.

And the couple made sure to delight their guests with plenty of food. The dinner included brisket, pulled pork, sausage, turkey, coleslaw, mac and cheese, potato salad and banana pudding. Warm chocolate chip cookies, butter cake and red velvet cake pops served as dessert.

And Lauren shared, “We now live full-time in Austin and have loved every minute of it. We moved here in part to start a new chapter of life together in a place neither of us had lived before, so we wanted to celebrate in the place where we’ve built our life together and with the people we’ve gotten close to here.”
