The Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner’s Fiancée Theresa Nist HORRIFIED: Here’s Why!

Golden Bachelor Spoilers – Theresa Nist Feels ‘Horrified’

Before agreeing to participate on the Golden Bachelor, Theresa Nist knew it meant watching Gerry Turner explore different relationships.

But after her engagement to Gerry Turner in the Golden Bachelor finale, Theresa decided to view the show back, per People.

And as Nist viewed it with her daughter, son-in-law and her three grandsons, she felt “horrified every time” she saw herself. “Oh my God, what do I look like?” the Golden Bachelor star would ask herself. “But I would get over that, and the next night I would watch it alone,” admitted the 70-year-old.

However, because of the delay between filming and the show airing, Nist did receive support from Turner, 72. And she shared, “Gerry and I were talking on the phone all the time.” As a result, the Golden Bachelor star prepared her “for things.”

But Nist admitted, “Some things he just couldn’t prepare me for. There’s some things I had to just… I cried over a few things,” she added. “But no, not that I didn’t know anything that was going to happen, but yes, a little hard sometimes.”

However, Nist describes herself as “a very open-minded person.” But she learned “how I could really take a step back and allow him to explore it with every other woman.” And the Golden Bachelor star sought to “really cheer them on and say, ‘Great. I want you to go on a date’.”

And for those who think that sounds self-defeating, Theresa explained, “I really wanted Gerry to find the right person.” But she “only wanted it to be me if it was right for it to be me. And so yeah, I learned that I could do that and allow that process to happen.”

Nist called that process “difficult, but necessary.” However, she admitted feeling sad at the heartbreak that the other Golden Bachelor contestants suffered. And she felt especially upset over Faith Martin leaving.

“It wasn’t easy watching Faith cry,” shared Theresa. “That was really hard for both of us. We really love her and we want her to be so happy. She was one of my best friends in the house, so that was difficult.” And she “wanted to just cry by myself” after watching her future fiancé say goodbye to Martin, 61.

But happiness awaits when the Golden Bachelor stars tie the knot. And Theresa will tie the knot with Gerry in a live televised wedding on ABC.  The Golden Wedding will air Jan. 4 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
