Chrisley Knows Best star Todd Chrisley and his wife Julie Chrisley remain in prison after guilty verdicts for their $30 million tax fraud scam.
However, amid their combined 19-year prison sentences, the two have used their children, particularly Savannah, and lawyers to complain about jail conditions.
And the reality TV stars’ new focus has turned to insisting they deserve freedom (or at least home confinement in their luxury mansion).
Find out what an insider shared about how the Chrisley Knows Best alums reached their “lowest” point. And learn how their lawyer claimed a lack of air-conditioning equals “cruel and unusual punishment.” Get all the details below.
Julie And Todd Chrisley Claim IRS Agent ‘Lied’
How to snag a get-out-of-jail-free card? Todd and Julie Chrisley think they know the answer. And so the Chrisley Knows
Best alums got an attorney to claim that an IRS agent “lied” to achieve their tax fraud crimes conviction, according to the Daily Mail.
However, Todd and Julie seem willing to do what it takes to achieve freedom. And that includes taking their case to the Supreme Court if they can.
An insider shared that the two feel their combined 19-year sentence doesn’t seem fair. But because of guilty verdicts for their $30 million tax fraud crimes, getting freed has proved more challenging than the reality TV stars first thought.
And the Chrisley Knows Best stars have taken to using family and friends to make their case. For instance, one insider close to the family described Julie and Todd as “at the lowest point they have been yet.” And the source also revealed that the two seem frantic to find a way to return to their lives of luxury.

Todd And Julie Chrisley Hate ‘Hell Hole’ Jails
Because their plea for home confinement didn’t succeed, the Chrisley Knows Best couple feel “completely hopeless about their situation,” shared the insider.
And Todd, 54, and Julie, 50, fear that they face “at least another year of living in their hell hole” jails. But their new lawyer, Jay Surgent, has encouraged the Chrisley Knows Best patriarch and matriarch to hold onto hope.
And Surgent revealed that his clients developed a game plan. If their newest appeal gets rejected, the two will pursue pleading with the Supreme Court.
However, the attorney also complained about the rejection of their request to move out of prison into home confinement. And he alleged that the government “clearly violated” Julie and Todd’s 8th Amendment rights during the appeals process.
The attorney also claimed that the government did not process the Chrisley Knows Best stars’ home confinement application.
And he described their prisons as subjecting them to “cruel and unusual punishment.” As for specifics, Surgent then claimed that mold, plumbing issues, and no air conditioning constitute “cruel and unusual punishment.”

Lindsey Chrisley is the one who was involved with the IRS agent who came after them with his fake evidence, she is the reason her parents are in prison now. I’ve never liked her.
