Todd Chrisley Hopes For Pardon After MAGA Sticker Incident

Todd Chrisley, formerly the patriarch of Chrisley Knows Best complained to his attorney, Jay Surgent, that he’s being picked on in prison. And, because guards allegedly took away his MAGA sticker, he hopes President Trump will grant him pardon. Certainly, it sounds as if he feels he is being targeted for his political leanings. 

TMZ Carried The Story

Perhaps Donald reads the daily news. After all, a president needs to know what’s happening. Probably, we’ll never know if, during his busy day, DJT set aside trade tariffs, South Africa, Israel, DEI, and other issues to read the story by TMZ. Anyway, that was the outlet that Jay Surgent chose to give an exclusive to. And now, critics call the story a“stunt.”

Imprisoned for tax and fraud-related offenses for 12 years at Pensacola in Florida, it’s not the first time that Todd hoped for a pardon from the new president. In fact, Savannah Chrisley, the daughter of Todd and Julie, addressed the RNC last year and slammed the prosecution and the justice system. So far, her efforts have failed and her dad still sits behind bars.

The MAGA Sticker Incident 

Savannah also produced a screenshot of her application for a pardon. As Todd’s appeals via the courts failed to grant him a retrial or freedom, it seems a big ask for such a massive favor. Todd told Surgent that his “MAGA sticker” was torn off his chair. And, he believes that’s unfair as other prisoners get to have stickers. 

The allegations include accusations of harrassement because his cell has been given the once-over. Citing the attorney, the outlet wrote:

Todd feels his cell is being “shaken down” by guards on a daily basis … he claims they’re flipping over his mattress, throwing his books on the floor and searching through his clothes…Todd even claims a guard once poured a Pepsi on his bed. 

The MAGA sticker removal makes the former USA Network star feel that he’s being targeted for being a Trump supporter. So, “Todd and his wife would like to be considered for pardon.”  Most people know that the USA Network star and his wife, Julie Chrisley believe that their trial was unfair.

Critics Believe It’s A Stunt 

When the story reached Reddit, nobody seemed to think a presidential pardon would be the outcome. Here are a few responses to the story:

• Clearly a PR stunt to try and get Trumps attention. It’s so obvious.
• I think he’s lying about the MAGA sticker incident. It’s just another ploy for Trump’s attention.
• …There is NO REASON for him to pardon Todd and Julie, they have appealed and lost, the evidence was overwhelming and the fact that Todd’s sons keep getting arrested is a terrible look. They are a crime family top to bottom and Trump doesn’t benefit from a pardon for them.
