Vanderpump Rules Star Raquel Leviss Defends Affair In Shocking Interview!

Vanderpump Rules star Raquel Leviss stayed silent in the wake of the season 10 reunion. And that seemed understandable. Because of her affair with Tom Sandoval, Raquel faced slams. And both her co-stars and fans also blamed Leviss for betraying her friend Ariana Madix, who had been Tom’s girlfriend for nine years until his affair.

However, now Raquel has finally broken her silence. And she did so with an interview that included multiple shockers. Find out what Leviss said below.

Raquel Leviss chose to break her silence on Real Housewives Of New York City (RHONY) alum Bethenny Frankel’s podcast. And in her first public interview since leaving a mental health facility, Leviss opened up about her affair with Tom Sandoval. However, Raquel also explained why she spent months at a mental health facility via TMZ.

“Part of the reason why I wanted to go to a treatment facility was to understand my behaviors,” shared Leviss. “And my goal was to really get down to the bottom of, “OK why am I choosing men that are unavailable’.” However, the Vanderpump Rules star also wanted to know why she repeatedly ended up “in unhealthy relationships.”

But after talking about her mental health, Raquel discussed all the hate that she received. And the Vanderpump Rules star defended her affair with Sandoval. Because almost every cast member has owned up to cheating in the past and getting involved in an affair, Leviss feels the show unfairly portrayed her as a villain.

And Leviss feels that Vanderpump Rules producers exploited her affair and the backlash she received. Affairs rank as “bad in normal life, but with producers it’s good. Affairs are good for TV,” she added.

However, then Raquel turned to the touchy topic of whether she really loved Tom. And she admitted that she now feels she didn’t experience true love. But the Vanderpump Rules star stated that she felt Sandoval didn’t really love her either.

And for those who wanted Leviss to apologize, she did so during her talk with Bethenny. And the reality TV star shared, “I do want to take a moment though to just acknowledge the hurt that I brought to a lot of people. I was not careful in my actions,” she added. “And I was not thinking long-term. I was completely wrapped up in heartbreak and wanting to get certain needs met.”

But Raquel dropped clues to whether she will return to Vanderpump Rules for the upcoming season. And she hinted that she feels it wouldn’t be healthy for her. “And you mentioned something about the addiction of doing reality TV and the way that they always dangle that carrot in front of you,” she told Bethenny. “Like, ‘Well, you need to tell your side of the story otherwise it’s gonna be written for you.’ And that’s terrifying. So I almost went back, I know just because of that.”
