Anna Wintour Wants Kate Middleton And Meghan Markle To Attend Met Gala

It’s considered one of the most fashionable nights in the entertainment world. But unfortunately, it lacks some of the most fashionable people in the world, too.

That’s why Vogue editor Anna Wintour has recently said that it would be her dream to see two very important people walk the red carpet at her annual Met Gala: Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle. As a matter of fact, Wintour has even said that it would be a dream come true if the Duchesses would attend the event together.

Even though the Met Gala brings out such stars as Gwyneth Paltrow, Naomi Campbell, Serena Williams and so many other A-list stars, Anna Wintour hasn’t been able to convince anyone from the British royal family to attend the event.

She would love to see both the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex walk the red carpet together one day.

Speaking to The Today Show, Anna Wintour said, “I would love to have the Duchess of Sussex and the Duchess of Cambridge together, that would be my dream. They can leave their husbands at home. It’s the two of them I want!”

Ha! And while Wintour has made it pretty clear that she would love to see the Duchesses on The Met Gala red carpet, it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen anytime soon.

Yes, both Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are highly-influential people when it comes to the fashion world with their royal and regal style. But if there’s one thing that Queen Elizabeth doesn’t like, it’s seeing royalty mix with the Hollywood crowd.

Plus, both ladies have been keeping very busy with their different charitable initiatives, royal engagements and public appearances all throughout Great Britain. What’s more, Meghan herself is about to start a new role in her life: that as a royal mother.

With all of her work, her new obligations as a parent plus her royal schedule, it’s very unlikely that Meghan or even Kate Middleton would find the time to travel to New York City to mingle with the celebrity A-crowd. In other words, Anna Wintour can keep dreaming!
