Now, another illuminating opinion has been offered as to Meghan’s reluctance to play the part she signed up for.

Speaking to Market Watch, royal reporter Ashley Pearson revealed why she thinks Meghan was the key to the cataclysmic Megxit.

About the former Suits actress, Pearson said, “She had no idea how un-glamorous it really is to be a royal and when she found out she would be a civil servant in a tiara, she was like, ‘no way.’”

Another royal watcher believes that Megxit’s sociopolitical agenda spelled doom for the couple’s ongoing happiness as royals. After all, there is an expectation that royals will stay politically neutral, a fact someone must have forgotten to mention to Meghan. Was she silenced thus leading to her upset and eventual pulling up of stakes?

Speaking to The Atlantic, Tom McTague shed some light on how Meghan might have been frustrated not being able to speak out as a royal on her favorite causes such as climate change and women’s rights. According to McTague, “the pair appear not to understand … their desire to be progressive,” comes with controversy and criticism.

Whether or not the couple are prepared to answer the questions, or qualified to offer solutions, remains to be seen.
