It’s not very often that President Donald Trump has something good to say about a foreign leader or dignitary, but it looks like he has nothing but kind and warm words for the Queen of England. As a matter of fact, Trump hailed Queen Elizabeth as a “tremendous woman” ahead of their much-anticipated meeting at Windsor Castle this week.
President Trump spoke with Britain’s The Sun newspaper and made it pretty clear that he looks forward to meeting the Queen. This will be the first time that Donald Trump, along with his wife Melania Trump, get to spend some quality time with Queen Elizabeth while on their working trip to the UK.
He told the publication, “I really look forward to meeting her. I think she represents her country so well. If you think of it, for so many years she has represented her country, she has really never made a mistake. You don’t see, like, anything embarrassing. She is just an incredible woman.”
If that weren’t enough, the President of the United States also said that the First Lady is looking forward to the visit as well. He added, “My wife is a tremendous fan of hers. She has got a great and beautiful grace about her.”
Trump also added that his Scottish-born mother, Mary Anne LacLeod Trump, was a major fan of the Queen. He said that anytime Queen Elizabeth was on television, his mother would stop what she was doing and tune in.
Now, whether or not Queen Elizabeth will have such kind words for Donald Trump is anyone’s guess.
