It’s not often that you get to hear the Duchess of Cambridge speak, let alone do a television interview with a huge news broadcaster. And yet, that’s exactly what happened this past week when Kate Middleton opened up and spoke fondly about her recent state trip to Pakistan with her husband, Prince William.
Prince William and Kate Middleton News: The Duchess Speaks On Camera
According to CNN, the Duchess spoke to the broadcaster during an engagement in the city of Lahore, where both she and the Duke of Cambridge were visiting a charitable organization called SOS Children’s Village. During the interview, Prince William stood beside her but it was Kate Middleton who did all of the talking. The couple was in the middle of their five-day trip to Pakistan.
During the interview, the Duchess spoke about the SOS Children’s Village project. She said, “There are so many vulnerable women here but they’ve really used their positivity and the support that the village here provides them. They have done it to support and protect the next generation of children in their care and give them the best possible start to their future lives.”
While there, Prince William and Kate Middleton also had an opportunity to tell a story to the young children. The couple even took part in a birthday party for one of the children and played games with the youngsters during their visit.
The Duchess also added later on in the interview that it was amazing to see so much of Pakistan and the country’s geography along with some of the community activities in Lahore.

Kate Middleton Opens Up About Pakistan Trip In Rare Interview
It was earlier reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex required more than 1,000 police officers during their royal tour of Pakistan. They were heavily guarded and for many different reasons, too. Pakistan supported the U.S. war on terror back in 2001 but also helped create the Taliban in Afghanistan. Reports also say they trained Al-Qaeda militants fighting with Osama Bin Laden.
It’s also been noted that Prince William and Kate Middleton are supporting Pakistan’s role in combating terrorism and promoting it again as a tourism destination. Stay tuned with us for all the latest news and updates on all of the members of the British royal family.
