King Charles has been heckled before, and this Easter, he and his wife, Queen Camilla ended up heckled again. Mostly, it seemed that people seem fed up about former Prince Andrew and the way the monarch dealt with it. Actually, rumor has it that Prince William also had a beef about that.
Heckled In Wales
The news that Camilla and the monarch were heckled was reported by 7 News Australia on YouTube. Apparently, it all went down in Wales, where they attended an old traditional “Maundy Thursday” service.
While all the pomp and ceremony went on inside, outside, a line of “anti-monarchy protesters” arrived bearing signs saying that King Charles “Is not my king.”

Additionally, someone painted that on the walls of the church. As reporter Ben Downie explained, it mostly seemed aimed at Andrew. He noted that they “chanted their own prepared lines about former Prince Andrew.”
An Old Tradition
Apparently, the service involved handing out “specially minted coins” to 77 men and women. It’s a charitable act that recognizes their “Christian deeds.” Well, that clearly didn’t stop the protesters from having their say.

In the comments section, those who weren’t at the service were also able to vent their feelings about it. Some of them felt angry because King Charles didn’t make an Easter speech. But, others just hated the idea of wealth, privilege, and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
Royal Family Watchers React
One critic opined:
Well, when the king’s brother was best buddies with the world’s most notorious child trafficker and abuser and hosted him at Buckingham Palace AFTER what he was doing became public knowledge, you’re gonna have to expect a little bit of pushback…
Here are few more reactions from the discussion that followed:
- I never understood why some[one] else blood is better than others??? Just because they are born from a certain family can that makes them special??
- By virtue of protesting they are acknowledging Charles as their king. They need to actually ignore his existence in order to make their point, not throw a tantrum.
- i used to love the royals …. these days ….[expletive] you Charlie!!!
There Is Still Some Support
Not everyone sided with the protesters who apparently hate King Charles and his brother Andrew. One person opined:
Absolutely disgraceful, they should all be rounded up and fined and put on 6 months community service where they have to work for free maybe cleaning graffiti off walls.
It’s interesting that anti-monarchy protests arrive more frequently these days. Possibly, it’s because many folks suspect that Queen Elizabeth knew what Andrew was up to but covered things up. Plus, others believe that as Prince Charles, her oldest son was complicit with that.
