There’s a new report that says King Charles will not put any pressure on Prince William to step up despite the fact that the royal family is going through a major crisis right now. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
King Charles Won’t Force Prince Harry To Take On More Royal Work
Even though King Charles is currently battling cancer and Kate Middleton is out of commission because of her health woes as well, King Charles has no plans to appoint Counselors of State to act on King Charles’ behalf.
One source close to the situation put it this way, “He wouldn’t want to put that pressure on William. He has always wanted to save his children from having that pressure too early and that will remain.
Particularly as William has other priorities [with Kate]. William will do his best, but the King will want to carry on with his duties as best he can.”
Of course, many royal fans and critics alike sure did have a lot to say about the matter on social media. Some have even commented with, “Please check England for an earthquake because I know the entirety of the English monarchy lines just rolled over in all of their graves.
This says a lot about William and Charles’s lack of trust in him,” along with, “He appears to be a total underachiever. Charles is looking more regal with every revelation about #WorkshyWilly. Charles needs to recognise Harry and Meghan’s before the demise of the House of Windsor.”
What’s Next For The Royal Family?
Another critic wrote, “He’s the heir, it’s his job to step up in a crisis! If he can’t step up now, how is he going to be King in the future! Is he going to just stop “working” whenever he wants! Charles knows that William is not fit for his future role!”
And then there was this comment as well: “It’s pathetic. Charles had no problem stepping in for his mother when he was needed (putting aside how manipulative his motives in doing so may have been), but Will can’t do the same? Britain, you in danger!”
So far Buckingham Palace has made no comments about the matter.
