Meghan Markle Baby News: Here Are Several Rules She Must Follow During Her Pregnancy

Now that Meghan Markle has settled in pretty nicely to her new life as a royal, a lot of her fans can’t help but wonder the same thing: when are she and her husband Prince Harry going to start a royal family of their own? Many royal observers are hoping that it will happen sooner rather than later.

While Buckingham Palace is yet to make any comments about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s pregnancy plans, one thing is for certain: the Duchess of Sussex will have plenty of rules and regulations that she will have to abide by during her pregnancy. In other words, it won’t be very easy.

For starters, Meghan will be discouraged from visiting her family in the United States, as the royal family will want her to stay close to London throughout her pregnancy, should an emergency occur. Meghan will also be expected to work up until the very last day of her pregnancy. She won’t go on her maternity leave until after the baby is born.

In addition, the Duchess of Sussex will have a team of doctors, midwives and anesthetists present while in labor, just like Kate Middleton did when she gave birth to her three children. The royal protocol also says that the Queen is the first to know about the birth of the baby before anyone else. It will then be Prince Harry’s job to phone his grandmother Queen Elizabeth to tell her the news before Meghan will be able to inform any of her family members across the pond.
