Meghan Markle Isn’t Bothered About The Media’s Criticism About Her

Apparently, Meghan Markle isn’t paying much attention to all of the things that the press has been saying about her. As a matter of fact, she’s ignoring it altogether. At least that’s what her good friend George Clooney has revealed in a new interview this past week.

Speaking to Good Morning America, George Clooney, who attended Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding last year with his wife Amal Clooney, has opened up about Harry and Meghan. He called them a “really, wonderful couple” but has also remarked on how the media has been treating Meghan unfairly. The Hollywood actor said that most of the coverage surrounding the Duchess of Sussex has been “unjust” and “unkind” to say the least. Thankfully, he says that Meghan isn’t bothered by much of it.

He said, “It’s a little unfair at times when…I’ve seen it when the press can turn on you for sort of ridiculous reasons and for almost nothing, and it seemed to me to be a little unjust since she hadn’t done anything except just happen to live her life. She’s a really kind and smart and intelligent young woman and they’re a really wonderful, loving couple. Most of it you can just shrug off and not pay attention to, but sometimes its unkind.”

Just last month, George Clooney also compared the treatment that Meghan has been getting to the same one that Princess Diana had before her untimely death back in 1997. He said that Meghan has been “pursued and vilified and chased” the same way that Diana was.

So far Prince Harry and Meghan Markle haven’t made any comments about the media criticism, although Kensington Palace has taken steps of their own. They have set out new social media guidelines in hopes that it will eliminate some of the online bullying that both Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton have endured in the comments section of the palace’s social media accounts.
