Meghan Markle Set On Rehabilitating Brand After Overplaying Victim Card

Meghan Markle is keen on separating her brand from the turmoil and controversies of the past. She reportedly wants to grow out of marketing her association with the royals to become a brand name, the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Selena Gomez, and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Doing that is not going to be easy, especially since the first three years of their departure from the Royal Family saw them reiterate the many ways they were hurt by the institution in as many different forms as possible.

Meghan Markle Wants To Own A “Kind” And “Standalone” Brand That’s Fun

At this year’s Variety power of women event, Meghan Markle boldly teased that fun and “exciting” new things will be coming soon.

Meghan Markle Set On Rehabilitating Brand After Overplaying “Victim Card”

Already, we’ve started to see signs of this, with the 42-year-old Duchess “poking fun at herself” by appearing in an unusual ad for a latte company.

In the ad, Meghan is seen stacking boxes, brewing coffee, and typing away at a computer as an intern for the latte brand. “Damn, you’re keeping us BUSY right now! Had to call in some reinforcements ,” the brand shared.

Fans of the Duchess will be far from surprised at this quirky appearance, especially since entertaining and uplifting has been her main focus. Remember when she appeared on Ellen DeGeneres and made animal noises? Yeah, she’s the “fun” Duchess.

Following her latest ad appearance, Brand and culture expert Nick Ede said that the Duchess is full-on inventing herself as a media personality who is “entertaining and not afraid to poke fun at herself.”

“This ‘fun’ side to Meghan is a clever way for the brand Clevr to get a lot of social media traction and engagement by using their famous investor,” Ede told the Daily Mail.

“It’s also a way of showing Meghan in a new light that is both fun and frivolous,” he continued. “Does it work? I think that Meghan is now such a polarizing figure that comments on the social media post are negative and not celebratory which is a shame, as the post was meant to be a showing off the success and hard work of the business.”

Ede then congratulated the Duchess on moving forward, because it’s better she do so than “claiming her life is a misery because of what happened to her while in the royal family.”

Ede, who knew the former actress long before she entered the royal fold, also opined that Meghan will continue making “personality-led content” from now on.

She’s boring, self-entitled, narcissistic, and she’ll lie about anything as long as it gets her what she wants.
