Meghan Markle Slams Rumors She Leaked Letter About Racism To King Charles

Royal family rumors claim that Meghan Markle leaked a letter she wrote about racism to King Charles. And now the Duchess of Sussex has attacked those allegations. Meghan Markle Allegedly Leaked Letter To King Charles

When Oprah Winfrey famously interviewed Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex accused someone in the royal family of racism. And though she didn’t name names, Meghan claimed that someone made racist remarks about her son Archie.

After that interview, the then-Prince Charles sent Markle a letter. And she responded with her own letter about the royal family’s “unconscious bias.” Rumors now claim that Meghan leaked that letter, per Fox News.

But a spokesperson denied those rumors. And the representative added, “The Duchess of Sussex is going about her life in the present, not thinking about correspondence from two years ago related to conversations from four years ago. Any suggestion otherwise is false and frankly ridiculous,” said Meghan’s spokesperson.

Markle’s rep also asked the media and royal columnists to stop spreading the rumors. “We encourage tabloid media and various royal correspondents to stop the exhausting circus that they alone are creating,” added the spokesperson. However, social media exploded with speculation that Meghan leaked the story to select journalists and commentators.

Meghan Markle Snubs Coronation Amid Racism Allegations

However, the Duchess of Sussex reportedly believes that the royal family never addressed her racism accusations. As a result, she decided to snub the coronation. But Prince Harry has confirmed that he will attend King Charles’ coronation. That leaves Meghan at home in California with their two children.

And Buckingham Palace made Harry’s presence official in a statement. The Palace confirmed, “The Duke of Sussex will attend the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey on May 6th.” Meghan reportedly will focus on celebrating Prince Archie’s birthday. The little boy will turn four that weekend, and his sister Princess Lilibet will help celebrate. 

But King Charles did include Markle in the official coronation souvenir program. The Duchess of Sussex appears in a family portrait from 2018. Taken for Charles’ 70th birthday, the photo shows the monarch and Prince George. Queen Camilla, Princess Kate, and Princess Charlotte also are featured in the pic. And Prince William and Harry smile together in what represents a time before all the royal rifts began.
