She might not have been an A-list star to begin with, but that doesn’t really seem to matter to Meghan Markle. There’s a new report that says the Duchess of Sussex wants to be treated as a serious Hollywood star now that she’s looking to return to her acting roots again. Here’s what you need to know.

Showbiz expert Mark Boardman, of MarkMeets, says that Prince Harry’s wife is going to do whatever she can to win the most coveted roles in the entertainment industry, even if she has to fight her way up to the top again.

As many royal fans probably already know, Meghan was forced to give up her acting career when she became engaged to Prince Harry back in 2016.

But now that she’s losing her contracts with the likes of Spotify and Christian Dior, it seems like the duchess is trying to think of other ways to generate some income for her family.

That’s why she wants to go back to acting. However, she doesn’t want to go back to her television roots, but instead wants to land big movie roles.

Boardman put it this way, “Meghan obviously has the children to worry about but acting is definitely going to be in the pipeline. She wants to be treated seriously as a film star and she probably didn’t quite get the recognition she wanted from Suits.”

He continued, “Meghan wants to be a leading lady and she will definitely go back into acting. She needs to find her own career and identity.”

Of course, Meghan herself has not made any comments about the matter. That said, it’s hard to say if the royal will try to dip her toes into the Hollywood pool again seeing how it’s been several long years since she’s had her last acting job. But then again, it’s not like Meghan’s career as a celebrity philanthropist is really working out for her either, right? Watch this space.
