Meghan Markle’s Former BFF Jessica Mulroney Hints At Icy Relationship

Meghan Markle’s Former BFF Posts Cryptic Quote

Three years have passed since Jessica Mulroney and Meghan Markle went from best friends to alleged enemies. And now Jessica has offered a clue as to whether she wants to reconcile with the Duchess of Sussex. “As loving as I am, my detachment game is strong too,” Mulroney shared on her Instagram Story, according to Page Six. 

But before their relationship encountered problems, the two met when Meghan filmed Suits. And Jessica took on the role of Markle’s stylist. The two became such close friends that Mulroney attended Meghan’s 2018 wedding to Prince Harry.

And Jessica’s children even played roles in the wedding ceremony. Meghan chose her then-friend’s daughter, Ivy, as a bridesmaid. And Mulroney’s twin sons, John and Brian, were page boys.

Meghan Markle Allegedly Cut Ties To Stay ‘Woke’

However, in 2020, Mulroney faced accusations of “white privilege” during the Black Lives Matter movement after George Floyd’s death. And in the wake of that backlash, Meghan cut ties with Jessica. But an insider alleged, “Meghan has forsaken her most loyal friend just to look woke.”

But at the time, Jessica claimed that she and Meghan had remained friends. And she wrote on Instagram, “I’m going to tell this once and for all. Meghan and I are family. She is the kindest friend and has checked up on me every day. Tabloid culture is atrocious. It creates lies and hurtful storyline. Stop feeding into it.”

However, after Markle’s wedding, the two became increasingly distant. And an insider said that Meghan believed Mulroney benefited from her relationship with the Duchess of Sussex. As a result, Jessica’s “white privilege” backlash gave “Meghan the excuse she was waiting for to cut Jess off for good.”

Meghan Markle Included Jessica In Netflix Series

And another insider shared, “Jess has been on the outs for some time. Their friendship is definitely not what it was. And really, how can you have such a close friendship when one person is basically making a career out of the friendship?”

But in the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Netflix series, Harry & Meghan, Jessica did make a short appearance. The show featured Meghan and Harry recalling their engagement. And a scene showed Meghan FaceTiming with Mulroney prior to Harry’s proposal.

“Oh, my God, Jess, it’s happening. He told me not to peek,” Meghan gushed. But the Netflix series did not include any interviews with Jessica. And neither Harry nor Meghan mentioned Mulroney as having a role in their lives. Jessica then shared a quote on social media about that situation, writing, “Best thing I ever did was learn how to move without the crowd.”
