Megxit Deeply Affected Queen Elizabeth’s Mental Health

Queen Elizabeth certainly did not want to see them go. There’s a new report that says the late Queen of England was “deeply saddened” by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to pull the plug on their working relationship with the royal family.

They made their announcement back in January of 2020 and quickly packed their bags and moved to California to start a brand new life for themselves as “financially-independent royals.”

Well, it seems like the Queen was none too pleased with their decision as she was hoping to keep the Sussexes nearby. Here’s what you need to know.

Megxit Deeply Affected Queen Elizabeth’s Mental Health

Royal expert Ingrid Seward, who has written plenty of books about the royal family in the past, says that Megxit deeply affected Queen Elizabeth’s mental health.

The Queen was deeply saddened over the fact that Harry and Meghan quit the royal family in the way they did.

That’s because she was also close to Prince Harry and didn’t want to see him move so far away from the royal family.

Seward put it this way, “The Queen has always preferred the company of light-hearted young people like her grandson Harry, to that of intellectuals. Harry would be the first to admit that his expensive private school education gave him nothing more than a quick wit and an excellent talent for mimicry.”

Queen Elizabeth Wanted Prince Harry And Meghan Markle To Stay In The UK

She continued, “But he always ‘got it’ and provided great cheer to those he met on official royal engagements. And so did Meghan.

She smiled, pressed flesh and hugged the public in an all-embracing way. They were a perfect foil for William and Kate, who were polished and professional but still full of laughter.”

Just recently Prince Harry was in the UK and stopped by Windsor Castle to pay his respects to his late grandmother on the first anniversary of her death.

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said.

Well done on visiting his grandmother grave. He should have visited his father the King as well… but there , we don’t know all that’s behind some actions . I think we need to leave them alone to resolve their family problems. I would not want to have to explain or justify myself if that was happening in my family.
