Prince Charles Gives Update on Father’s Health, Philip ‘Feeling Much Better’ After Hospital Stay

Royals news reveals there was concern over the news that Prince Philip had been hospitalized. However, the 98-year-old, who is officially retired, is feeling much better. His son, Prince Charles gave an update on the Duke of Edinburgh’s health.
Prince Philip Hospitalized
On December 20, 2019, fans were concerned when it was announced that Philip had to go into the hospital. Right now, it is just being referred to as a mystery illness. However, his health condition is a private matter between family members and medical professionals. Even though we do value his privacy, everyone was worried about the 98-year-old, who retired in 2017.
Medical Observation with ‘Some Degree of Urgency’
It was revealed that Philip entered the hospital and stayed on the medical advice of his doctors. What made it more concerning is that he was taken from Norfolk to London on a helicopter with “some degree of urgency.” He stayed in the hospital for several days and was released on the morning of Christmas Eve.
Prince Charles Gives Health Update
According to Royal Central UK, Prince Charles gave an update on Philip’s health. The Prince of Wales said that his father is feeling much better. Charles made this optimistic statement while walking with Prince Edward, Princess Anne and Lady Louise.
In addition, Philip thanked everyone for their good wishes, positive thoughts and support. Once he got back to Sandringham to celebrate Christmas with his family, an official statement was released expressing gratitude toward those who wished him well.

Medical History
The last time Prince Philip was hospitalized was in April 2018. He had a hip replacement and had to stay in the hospital for 11 days. Before that, he was admitted for another 11-day stint for abdominal surgery in 2013. Two years prior, he had a stent put in after experiencing chest pains.
We are pleased that Prince Philip is doing well. Despite his hospital stay, fans are being reassured that the Duke of Edinburgh is in good health and there is no reason to have any concerns about the 98-year-old’s health.
