Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have only been in South Africa for one hot minute and yet they’ve already managed to start a dance party! The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have kicked off their African tour with a bang by showing off their dance moves with some very excited royal fans! Here’s what you need to know.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Kick Off South Africa Tour With A Bang
It all began when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex touched down at Cape Town with their son, Archie Harrison. However, they decided to opt out from doing a traditional photo call. Instead, they left Archie with a trusted nanny and went to work right away. Their first order of business was visiting the Nyanga township in Cape Town, where they made an appearance at The Justice Desk. It is an organization that helps women and girls with self-defense classes in the area, which also happens to be the highest murder rate in South Africa.
Both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle couldn’t help but dance with the local children while a lively African beat played in the background. The crowd cheered the royal couple on as they got into the festivities. And by judging the looks on their faces, Harry and Meg were having a ball!

No Fuss, No Formality, No Protocol For The Duke And Duchess Of Sussex
Speaking of Harry and Meg, that’s exactly what they want to be called during this trip. As a matter of fact, a report by Vanity Fair say that the Sussexes want minimal fuss, formality and protocol during this trip. That’s because they want to roll up their sleeves and get as much work done as possible. They want to make it clear that they are there to work and are not treating it as another royal holiday.
“This isn’t a holiday and they don’t want it to look like one,” one source told Vanity Fair at a press reception in Cape Town on Sunday night. “This has been months in the planning and a lot of hard work has gone into the schedule. Their Royal Highnesses want to do some serious work on the ground, particularly at a community level.”
Now as far as when Archie Harrison will make his next appearance remains to be seen. Until then, we will most definitely be on the look out!
