Prince Harry Broke News Of Lilibet’s Birth To Kate Middleton Not Prince William

British Royal family news reveals the relationship between Prince Harry, Duke Of Sussex and his brother Prince William, Duke of Cambridge has been strained in recent years, leading to limited communication between the two brothers. During his bombshell Oprah interview, Prince Harry, 36, revealed the current nature of his relationship with his older brother. “The relationship is ‘space’ at the moment. I love William to bits. We’ve been through hell together and we have a shared experience, but we are on different paths.”

However, the brothers reunited a few weeks after Harry and Meghan Markle’s Oprah interview for their grandfather Prince Philip’s funeral on April 17. Kate Middleton was reportedly the first person to speak to Harry at the funeral before the brothers amicably chatted to each other while they walked away from the funeral grounds.

Kate Middleton was praised for her role as a “peacemaker” and for stepping back and allowing the brothers to talk in privacy. Before heading back to his then-pregnant wife Meghan Markle and his son in the U.S., Prince Harry reportedly met with his brother and his father Prince Charles behind closed doors.

But it apparently wasn’t enough to rebuild their bond and trust as a family, as Harry returned to the U.S. to spit more fires at his family, even basically calling his father a “bad parent”.

Kate Middleton Acts As A Bridge Between Prince Harry And Prince William

Following tensions between the Sussexes and the rest of the royal family, Kate Middleton reportedly stepped up to try and fix the breach in communication and resolve issues for all parties involved.

According to reports by The Mail on Sunday, a Palace source shared that Prince Harry actually announced the birth of his second child and first daughter, Lilibet, via text to his sister-in-law Kate Middleton instead of calling his brother directly. The source added that it’s proof of Kate “cementing her role as a bridge between him and his brother.”

Prince William and Kate Middleton shared a joint statement on their Instagram page congratulating Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on the arrival of their daughter Lilibet. “We are all delighted by the happy news of the arrival of baby Lili,” the pair wrote on their official Instagram page, along with a black and white photo of Harry and Meghan posing with their son, Archie. “Congratulations to Harry, Meghan, and Archie.”

In a recent public appearance, Kate Middleton revealed that she is looking forward to meeting her infant niece, also confirming that she hasn’t seen the baby via Zoom calls. She added that she deeply hopes to meet Lilibet soon.

According to Royal Expert Camilla Tominey, Kate’s primary instinct is to try and smooth things over for the sake of their children who are cousins. “Having grown up being close to her own siblings, Pippa, 37, and James, 34, the Duchess remained keen to bury the hatchet even after the interview aired to a global audience of millions, seemingly for the sake of two-year-old Archie’s relationship with his cousins,” Tominey wrote for The Telegraph.
