Royal family news channels recently shared the solemn pageantry and rituals involved in honoring Queen Elizabeth II. And in the wake of the Queen’s death, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren continue to mourn their loss. But the royal family also must find ways to measure up to the Queen’s love of and devotion to her country.
And in looking at what lies ahead for King Charles, some royal family experts believe that Prince Harry could help support his father. However, the Duke of Sussex has planned a memoir that he supposedly packed with harmful bombshells to explode against the royal family. As a result, experts feel that Harry must cancel his $20 million memoir in order to regain his family’s trust. And he also would need to persuade his wife Meghan Markle to take up their discarded royal duties once more. Find out everything to know below.
Prince Harry Faces Choice – Royal Family Or $20 Million Memoir?
When England’s longest-ruling monarch, Queen Elizabeth, died on September 8, Prince Harry rushed to mourn with his family. As a result, the Duke of Sussex reconnected with his brother Prince William and father King Charles. But a sense of estrangement remains. And many blame that rift on Meghan Markle allegedly pushing Harry to step down from his royal duties.
However, Harry’s highly anticipated memoir could change everything. And royal family experts believe that if the Duke of Sussex releases his tell-all book, he will destroy the recent progress he made in ending the estrangement. Should and will Harry cancel his $20 million memoir? Royal family expert Tina Brown weighed in, per OK magazine.

And the former Vanity Fair editor opined that Prince Harry can mend his rift with his royal relatives only by cancelling his contract with his publishing company, Penguin Random House. The Duke of Sussex reportedly attacked the royal family in his tell-all book, packing it with cruel accusations. As a result, Tina feels that Harry could permanently destroy his relationship with his relatives if he moves ahead with the book.
Royal Family Embraced Prince Harry In Honoring Queen Elizabeth
Setting aside past estrangements in their desire to honor Queen Elizabeth, the royal family welcomed Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle back into The Firm, as the royals have become known. But even as the Duke and Duchess Of Sussex participated in the 11-day mourning period, some experts believe Harry’s memoir could threaten his relationships. And Tina warned that Harry will lose his relatives’ trust if he publishes his memoir.
However, if the Duke of Sussex cancels his tell-all, Harry can embrace “an incredible moment to be used. The country loved that feeling of unity and seeing the brothers back together. It was a beautiful sight,” gushed the royal family expert.
But Brown also emphasized that Harry’s wife Meghan Markle would need to unite with her husband to fully support the royal family. And she shared that the royal family truly needs Prince Harry. Because King Charles must assign various responsibilities amid grieving the loss of his mother, Prince Harry could make a significant difference.
Meghan Markle ‘Hated’ Royal Family Duties
But the Duke of Sussex faces a major challenge in his wife Meghan Markle. Because the royal family must divide so many tasks after Queen Elizabeth’s death, Tina believes that Harry could make a great difference. “The Royal Family needs him,” she shared. “And there’s a lot of work to be done. Kate [Middleton] doesn’t want to be traveling the world, she’s the mother of three children.”

However, after Harry and Meghan quit their royal duties in March 2020, Kate felt forced to take on more assignments. But in the new era, as King Charles looks to assign royal duties, Harry could rejoin the senior royals. And he would get a “big role to play if he wants to.”
But Meghan Markle could make or break that decision for Harry. And Tina claimed that Meghan “of course hated every bit” of the couple’s royal family duties. However, Tina offered a suggestion. She recommended that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex spend “four or five months” in California. And they then could take on the royal family duties during the rest of the year.

I think Harry needs to reconnect with his family and mend the past. I understand things happened but I think BOTH sides were wrong and I think Meghan is too overly dramatic and plays the victim too often.
Yes, Prince Harry should return to the UK to join the Royal Family and perform his Royal Duties. I honestly believe Harry is very sad and unhappy leaving his Royal Family.
Harry needs to make up his own mind , make his own decisions. Prince Harry needs to stop letting Megan Markle from making decisions for him.

Wow Charles wants to start his reign as king showing his subjects we should cave to blackmail!. Lets all write a book throwing shade and dubious accusations whenever we want to get our own way because that will dividends. So we now reward spite and malicious behavior.
The problem Inn the Royal Family is a conniving Meghan who if she doesn’t get her way then pulls the race card. No one wants to be around her.
The part time idea sounds doable.
I would modify the arrangement to have Harry do most of the engagements alone where possible as Meghan stays in California with the children during the school year.
Meghan and the children can join Harry in GB during the Summer, special occasion, and holidays.
Harry can go back and forth from GB as needed on a limited appearance schedule.
The book can be edited to make it more palatable for the firm.
I’m replying to what Dean said that it’s a good idea for them to take a break. That’s all fine and well but when they are gone Kate would have to take over Meghans role on top of her own while taking care of her 3 children and William. That’s totally not fair at all !!!!!
I think Harry should definantly return to England and work on his issues with his Family .I also think he needs to take his wife and children with him. Clearly he loves his wife and let’s face it she didn’t have an easy time of it at all. She was frowned upon for being partly black and white first off ,then the criticism about her unborn children who I might add are absolutely beautiful then it was one nit- picking after another until she just wanted to go home. ! Anyone would after being treated like some kind of monster ! Harry loves her who the hell cares what color she is .we have no right to pick and choose for him. People ha have worked so hard to drive a wedge between he ,her and that entire family ! Have we forgotten Diana for God’s sake !! Meghan is an American she will need peoples patience so she can learn the proper ways of the royal family ,traditions expectations and so on .she never received any of that and unfairly so ! Never once did I hear her bitch or complain that Catherine would be in line to the throne ! The woman was trying in every way possible just to fit at all ! It’s not the Bundy’s family for Pete’s sake it’s the Royal Family ! Their is no other Family quite like it and you can bet it’s no easy task to take on and learn overnight . Cut this family a break for once encourage the union of love and family that they took together ! Stop trying to tear the world and the people in it apart !
