Prince Harry Frozen Out Of Peter Phillip’s Wedding Plans?

Apparently, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle won’t be attending the wedding of Peter Phillips, the son of Princess Anne. Folks talk about a snub, but for Harry, it seems like a seismic one. If it’s true, then it’s likely gonna sting. Read on to find out why.

This week, the Daily Express podcast revealed Mark Dolan and JJ Anisiobi discussing why they believe the Sussex couple were not invited. But first, a recap on Peter Phillips.

Recently, we reported that Peter, raised by Princess Anne was never going to be a working royal for The Firm. And that was because his mom wanted him to have a normal upbringing.

However, that doesn’t mean he wasn’t close to the rest of the working royals. Interestingly, the duo discussed how it was Peter who went to Balmoral to be a mentor to the grieving sons of Princess Diana after her death.

Apparently, he and Prince Harry were very close. So the snub from the wedding invite list seems almost incredible.

Speculation On Why No Invite

The two hosts didn’t try and sugar coat the issues, and they agreed that the whole thing seemed to be a “brutal snub.” Plus, they discussed how it strongly hinted at a “royal cancellation.”

The reason why, could be because Princess Catherine and Prince William were invited. So, with bad blood between the brothers, that might account for it.

The ‘Harry Show’ Cancelation 

Next, it was bandied about that perhaps Prince Harry would have stolen the show by attending. After all, media interest would be huge. So, they opined that “if you invite Harry…it’s going to be the Harry Show.”

Perhaps it’s just a simple self-protection by Peter Phillips and there’s no deliberate malice. Maybe he and his future wife, Harriet Sperling just want a happy day untainted by an unpopular family member.

Not The First Time Around The Wedding Block

It’s the second time that Peter Phillips married, and his fiancee isn’t walking down the aisle for the first time, either. In fact, she has a daughter named Georgina whom she and her ex, Antonio St John Sperling, co-parent.

Really, second marriages might be a celebration of love. But do they need all the friends, relatives, and extended hangers-on there to witness the event?

Harry & Meghan’s Issues With The UK

Of course, it could be argued that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might have other things on their plates on June 6. Apart from that, she doesn’t seem ovely keen on visiting the UK.

Of course, another problem that might have arrived at the non-invite decision could relate to Harry and his incessant issues about security.

Then again, Meghan reportedly plans her wedding vow renewal today (May 19). One has to wonder, if it happens, which of the royals were on their invitation list.

Andrew And Sarah Will be There?

The duo also discussed that allegedly, Harry and Meghan’s names weren’t even debated. But, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson were. It’s not likely they got the nod either.
