Prince Harry Security Appeal: Will He Get Full-Time Protection?

An insider claim suggests the Home Office made a final decision on Prince Harry's security appeal.

Prince Harry keeps fighting the British government over his security. But a new insider claim suggests he might not get the win he wants. Read on to find out why.

Harry Appealed His Case

Royal commentator Neil Sean discussed it on his Daily News Headlines vlog on YouTube Wednesday night.

According to a source “very high up [in] authority” inside the Home Office, a decision regarding Harry’s appeal is already made.

Per the royal expert, folks who follow ‘The Firm’ should find out “within maybe the next two weeks.” Often, he’s spot-on with predictions, so it will be interesting to see where this one goes.

Several Security Appeals

It’s important to understand that there were several issues regarding Harry’s security. There was a RAVEC risk assessment and Harry’s court appeal. Often the two stories end up folding into one another.

Per an article carried by The Times, after Harry lost his court case, he supposedly requested a new look at how much danger he actually faces.

So, the RAVEC board had to go back and evaluate his security risk. Various news reports said a ruling was coming soon, but no one released anything officially yet.

A Simple Traffic Problem

During his monologue, Sean recalled a moment from last September. Probably, you recall that Prince Harry arrived in the UK for a “brief visit.”

Sean reminded his followers that back then, Harry needed to get to Nottingham for a charity event. However, he showed up very late because of traffic problems.

Of course, as Sean pointed out, if Prince Harry still had full royal security, the police would have “blue lit that way” and cleared a path.

Instead, he had to go “the normal way” like any regular person. So, that created some problems for the police.

A Masterclass in PR?

You might have also seen a recent photo of Harry at a polo game with his friend, Nacho Figueras. The commentary, often scathing, had to admit it was good.

Actually, he shared it because he believed it seemed like “a very clever move” and “a contrived piece of PR.”

The take from the commentator focuses on his belief that Harry wanted to remind everyone he still has friends after all the negative stories about his marriage and family fallouts.

Overall, it seemed that the message from Sean focused on the fact that the Home Office isn’t sitting there frowning with worry over the royal who lives so far away these days.

Problems On The Home Front

British politics see the prime minister fighting a battle with his own circle. Losing sleep over a royal living across the pond might not be a top priority right now.

After all, with the PM fighting for his political life and a major murder investigation underway, Harry’s status is far from a paramount issue for the British government.

If you don’t know, there’s been a lot of focus on a case about Henry Nowak. Per Reuters, protesters hit the street. It was about “an 18-year-old who was handcuffed as he lay dying after his killer falsely alleged a racist attack.”

Well, it lit a fire following the sentencing of a suspect.

The Case-by-Case Reality

Sean said that when speaking with his Home Office source, he learned that allegedly, the government will likely offer Prince Harry “more or less the same deal” as before.

That means a “case-by-case basis” security plan, not the full-time protection Harry wants.

The source also added that Harry and Meghan had “no issues whatsoever” during past UK trips.

Previous Visits Were Fine

While you might assume that Harry and Meghan Markle never attend major events in the UK, they actually did. For example, both of them attended the Platinum Jubilee in 2022.

Then came the funeral for Queen Elizabeth, and Prince Harry turned up without Meghan for the 2023 coronation of King Charles.

Nothing went wrong. So the government allegedly, sees no real reason to change their mind.

A Devastating Ruling Incoming?

Sean admitted the ruling might devastate Prince Harry if the appeal is already rejected.

Additionally, he noted that in his opinion, the British public wouldn’t support giving Harry more. Why? Well that can probably be laid at the foot of the Andrew Mountbatten scandal.

In fact he believes, it “would play very badly with the British public.”

The insider claimed a decision exists but they just “will not share it” yet. Either way, Sean concluded, that Harry “has to turn back up” in the UK eventually.

But for now, bigger things sit on the plate of the government.

Viewers React

In the comments section, many people took the angle and the alleged leak to heart.

One of them opined, “Imagine choosing to be a private citizen then suddenly finding out that everyone treats you like a private citizen.”

Here are a few more responses from the discussion:

  • His freedom flight video should have been played in court the first time he appealed for security.
  • Well if Harry is worried about being late then he should leave early like the rest of us.
  • Harry is a private citizen. Stop asking for automatic free 24/7 security. You are not a working royal. You can request security 28 days in advance.
  • Only productive members of “the firm” are afforded IPP status and security details. Henry dismissed himself from all responsibilities and is entitled to nothing.
