Prince William and Kate Middleton Back To London And Public Duty Soon?

Prince William and Kate MiddletonAre Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their three young children set to leave their Norfolk isolation home and return to more public life in London?

The family left Kensington Palace for Anmer Hall in March and have remained in isolation until yesterday when William engaged in his first post-lockdown face-to-face royal engagement on Tuesday.
This has royal watchers speculating that they will now return to London soon.

On Tuesday, June 16 Several Royals Made Face-To-Face Work Visits For The First Time Since Isolation Began

During the visit, William thanked the dedicated staff for their exceptional work and spilled a few revealing details about his time in lockdown.

“I’ve done a lot of baking at home,” he said. “Chocolate goes down very well.” He jokingly told the staff, “I look forward to messages when we can drink more and go out to the local pub and have a pint. I’m worried about the waistline of the nation as well, with all the chocolate and cakes.”

While William may be keen to get out and about more, it is unknown how Kate feels about any upcoming change. She has been said to favor Anmer Hall and it obviously has a special place in her heart as it is where she celebrates her birthday every year.

Prince Louis is too young for formal school, but Prince George and Princess Charlotte attend Thomas’s Battersea in South West London.

It is expected that George and Charlotte will not return to school until September. It’s been reported that while Charlotte’s class is back in session her parents would rather wait to send her back until she can attend with her brother George.

The Firm Is Getting Back Into The Swing Of Things With Public Duty In Light Of New Normal Protocol

Several other royals have made face-to-face visits this week including Princess Anne who visited soldiers at the Duke of Gloucester Barracks, individuals who have been playing a royal in the British Army’s COVID-19 response.

William’s father and step-mother, Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, visited a Gloucester hospital. The couple went to the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital to express their gratitude to dedicated NHS staff and essential workers who have worked during the pandemic.

During the royal’s in-person visits, social distancing was the norm. There is no word on when Queen Elizabeth may return to public visits, and it should be noted that she is in a high-risk group for contracting the virus due to her age.
