Prince William and Kate Middleton Snub Prince Charles’ Summer Holiday Invitation

It has been awhile since we’ve heard the entire royal family spent time together. Is it because they are all busy with their engagements or perhaps something else? Despite shrugging off rumors of an ongoing feud within the royal family, their actions as seen by the public suggest differently.

According to Yahoo Lifestyle, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge “declined” the offer of Prince Charles for a summer holiday at Scotland’s Castle of May. On the other hand, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were said to be more welcoming to the idea of spending time with him.

In a report released by The Daily Beast earlier this year, a source revealed to the publication that the relationship between Prince Charles and his sons Prince William and Prince Harry remains “strained.” The source added that the three have different personalities and just don’t get along well with each other. “They rarely see each other outside of official business,” the source claimed.

“We have a responsibility and an obligation to the next generation to drastically reduce the extent to which we plunder the planet’s natural resources.”

One of the primary areas of contention between Prince Charles, William, and Harry is about the death of Princes Diana. Prince William and Prince Harry know firsthand the emotional and psychological effect of their mom’s death on them when they were young and because of that, the pair had made it their advocacy to raise awareness about mental health. However, their father reportedly “hates” that his sons are being too public about their emotions.

The conflict between the three were also attributed to jealousy. Tom Bower wrote in his unauthorized royal biography “Rebel Prince: The Power, Passion and Defiance of Prince Charles” that Prince William’s marriage to Kate Middleton left the 69-year-old heir to the British throne feeling “usurped.”

Robert Higdon, who spearheads Charles’ charity foundation in America, told Bower that the Prince felt threatened by the union of Kate and William. But despite all these, Prince Charles was kind enough to walk Meghan down the aisle since her father was not able to attend the royal wedding back in May due to medical reasons.
